Erie Escape - Long Point, Ontario, Canada

The Erie Escape is 800 square feet, 3 bedroom cottage located a short 2 minute walk to Long Point beach. Great for hunter, birder, or beach-goers getaway. Situated on a corner lot, steps from the channel, with easy access for canoes, kayaks, sea-doo and small boats. The street is quiet, safe and family friendly with lots of parking along side of cottage.

Three bedroom, 1 queen, 1 double and bunk bed (single top, double bottom) and 2 pull out couches (both double), tv, dvd/vhs player, radio, free wifi. Outdoors features include BBQ, patio furniture, fire pit, outdoor clothes line, garbage bins, and recycling bins. Two large decks to enjoy the summer sun.
Full bathroom with shower, blow dryer, clothes iron, cleaning supplies. All tap water is conditioned, so it is drinkable. Kitchen is fully equipped: dishes, glassware, plastic/glass, juice and milk jugs, full size fridge with freezer, oven, all utensils, pots, pans, frying pans, microwave, coffee maker and filters, kettle, blender, 4 slice toaster. Also includes cleaning tools which include broom, dustpan, mop/bucket and vacuum.

You must provide ALL your own linens; including pillows, sheets, blankets, bath towels, beach towels, kitchen towels, etc.

Toiletries, toilet paper, any paper/plastic dishes/utensils, paper towels, garbage bags and firewood are NOT supplied.

NO smoking policy. Pet policy can be discussed.

Arrival Saturday @ 3 PM - Departure Saturday @ 11 AM

Rented year round, only rent for weeks in July 1st thru September 4th and weekends/weeks for the remainder of the year.
Five minutes to the quaint town of Port Rowan with grocery store, LCBO, Beer Store bank, boutiques and restaurants. Marinas with boat rentals, kiteboarding, fishing, spa, golf, winery, zip lining are all in the area.
We only rent to families and groups over the age of 25. Please inquire if you have any questions.

Our favourite place to stay in long point!

We enjoyed our stay at Erie Escape so much last year, that we chose to stay there again this year. The cottage is well stocked with the essentials and spacious. We especially love the front and back decks, that allow you to sit out in sun or shade. Easy walking distance to the beach, and tuck shop / ice cream. Owner was responsive when we had a small issue with the remote control to a bedroom light/fan, which we were not able to figure out. We would love to stay again!

Everything We Needed for a Great Vacation

We found the cottage to be clean, well equipped and spacious. The decks out front and back, along with the big umbrella, gave us some respite from the heat, as did the fans throughout the cottage. We would love to go back!

Good family escape

Cottage was just as described. Plenty of space for 4 adults, 2 kids and a dog. Had basically everything you would need. Lots of outdoor seating. Walking distance to fishing, beach, ice cream, and small shops. Walking trails within a 15 min walk or 2 min drive. Loved this place. Will definitely be back!

An amazing gem of a cottage

This cottage was a pure delight - I honestly enjoyed every minute of our stay. The location was perfect one block off the main strip and the beach access so it was quiet, while being literally a two minute walk to the beach, fantastic. The cottage is very well maintained, clean and charmingly decorated. The furniture was cozy and comfortable, additionally there was plenty of comfortable well maintained outdoor furniture as well. The owners were kind and communicated great.Thank you for a wonderful holiday Erie Escape!

Relaxing home away from home

We really enjoyed our experience. Water access to put in our kayaks was directly across the quiet street amid the row of boathouses. We enjoyed a relaxing paddle through the marshes, observing different types of swans and heron. We didn’t compete with the water fowl for the jumping fish. The cottage was exceptionally clean, equipped and spacious. We enjoyed a peaceful fire in the backyard following a relaxing walk along the miles of beach. A beautiful time of year to visit Long Point!

Good Place

Process was great. Landlord was a good communicator. Property location was also good and it was tidy inside. Movies and entertainment system were a nice surprise. Lots of dishes. Neighbours were friendly as well. Downside - appeared not to have a good cleaning in a long while. Remote was grimey, dirt caked on top of the fridge, very dusty under the couches (had to grab kids toys from underneath). There was also a wasp nest in car port. I would consider staying again if there was a professional cleaning guaranteed in the future. Thanks to the landlord for allowing us to stay.

A lovely end of summer cottage stay.

Lovely, clean, comfortable, well-equipped, affordable. BBQ was unusable - quite dirty - we cleaned it up a bit but discovered no gas in tank. That was the only (minor) negative, and the oven inside was a workable substitute. Would stay again.

Offline getaway

We particularly enjoyed the lack of internet and tv cable which allowed for more bonding between family members. Unfortunately, the first 5 days were windy and led to stormy waters. But other that we enjoyed our time there.

Great cottage, very clean. What you see in the pictures is what you'll get. No A/C but fans in all rooms. No WIFI but plenty of movies and board games. Nice to unplug. Access to groceries and LCBO (5 min from cottage). Icecream, fish and chip and other foods five min walk from cottage. Beach by the cottage no longer exists. Closest beach (beautiful beach) just a few min drive from cottage. Would definitely go back :)
