Oceanfront Vacation Home - Lagun, Curaçao

This seafront vacation home is located in the small fisherman's village Lagun, at the quiet west-side of the island. You can take a splash into the crystal clear Caribbean sea right from your own private stairway. It's also on walking distance of just a few minutes from the beautiful Lagun Beach. Every evening you can enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Caribbean Sea from your own terrace.

The property offers all the luxury and amenities you’ll need for a perfect and relaxed vacation. Indoors the house offers 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped luxury kitchen, a living room, a laundry room and a porch with dining-, bar area. Outdoors there’s a veranda in front of the house facing the beautiful hills, a lounge area overseeing the ocean, a bar & BBQ, outside bathroom & shower and scuba diving facilities. Last but certainly not least there's a staircase that leads you down to the clear blue sea for some swimming, snorkeling, diving or maybe just to relax and listen to the sound of the ocean of do some fishing.

Guests will have complete access to the entire home with the exception of some personal closet space from the owners. For privacy and security, the property is completely surrounded by walls and fences.

The owners live on Curaçao and depending on time and availability like to personally welcome their guests to the island. Guests will always get a complete explanation of the property at arrival. During your stay the owners will be available to answer questions and they will come by if needed.

Host booked the property out from under us. We reached out the day before check in and they apparently tried to reach us but it went to our spam. Instead of digging deeper they cancelled and re rented. We were left on the island with no place to stay at the peak of spring break. Thank God for Coral Estates. They were great and found us a place.

Over a period of several months, Mr. Bondy was reminded five (5!) times that his payment had not been received. No response was provided to any of these reminders, after which it was communicated that the booking would be considered cancelled. Only one day before the scheduled check-in date, contact was suddenly made, but by then it was too late: the house had not been prepared, and the last days of the booking period had already been rebooked. Subsequently, while Mr. Bondy himself was on an island day trip, he expected us to find a solution for him. This is neither reasonable nor acceptable to expect from a host when guests have been completely unresponsive for months.

We were not told that the main electric front gate was broken. It was impossible for us to manually open and close it, Brat, the owner kept insisting that we must keep it closed at all times for our own safety. We threw out our backs the first two days opening and closing the heavy steel gate. He insisted that we lock three doors with three different keys from the inside of the house at all times. Locking doors with a key on the inside is against fire code and dangerous.We told the owner twice that we had to leave early due to not being able to open and close the gate, but he did not respond to our request for the last two days refunded. Nice home right on the ocean. Great outdoor living, plenty of room. Wish he’d told us the area was so unsafe and that the electric gate was broken.

Fortunately, we only very occasionally have disappointing experiences with guests. Thankfully, this is rare, but our experience with Parvaneh and her husband, David, was not one we would wish to repeat. After only a few hours, they raised concerns about the gate, which is being opened and closed manually, and used this as the reason to immediately cancel the last two days of their stay and request a refund. Requesting our guests to keep a gate closed has nothing to do with an unsafe area, it’s just a normal thing to do. In addition, we had not been informed in advance that a third guest would be staying at the property. When this third guest left two days earlier, they also decided that they wanted to leave, stating that they were unable to open and close the gate themselves and that this was causing back pain. After their departure, we were also disappointed to find that the house had not been treated with the care we normally expect from guests and was left in a very dirty condition. We understand that they may leave a negative review because we did not agree to provide a refund, but we believe it is important to share our experience honestly and respectfully. Fortunately, experiences like this are a rare exception rather than the rule, and we are grateful that all our guests treat our home with care, kindness, and respect.

Wonderful family vacation

Everything was beyond expectations! This home is thoughtfully furnished and equipped, beautifully designed and decorated, and is clean and comfortable. The view is amazing! The location was perfect for our beach hopping family.

Magnificent place to stay and we will be back. Home was spectacular and that is putting it mildly. Beautiful home right on the water and close to every amenity we loved. We had a fantastic time away from the hustle and bustle of town but not too far away from all the attractions. For the diver....WOW, this place rocked, the diving was phenomenal and the night dives were even better. I can only say great things about staying at this home. We were several hours late checking in and the owner waited 3 hours for us and was so happy to meet all of us. Great guy, beautiful home and a fabulous time. Best vacation ever!

Absolutely amazing! We’re still speechless talking about this wonderful home. Bart was also so helpful during our stay and was there to greet us during check in. We loved the back patio looking out over the water and being able to take a swim whenever we wanted. The snorkeling is great as well! The water is very calm! The kitchen was amazing, everything was spotless, and this home was the highlight of our trip to Curacao.

Perfect vacation

The property was impressive, even better than we expected: location, the size of the property, the details, and of course, the view. Beautiful!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Barts house! He met us at the property when we arrived and showed us around. The house is beautiful and the view off the back deck is breathtaking. I would stay there again if we ever have the opportunity to go back to Curacao!

Beautiful Property

Our party of 6 had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is great for beach hopping on the island's western side (where all the best beaches are located), and we loved having the ability to go snorkeling right off the back patio and then swim a short distance to Lagun Beach, which is one of our favorites. The view at sunset is heavenly. Would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a quiet beach getaway.

a beautiful gem in the Carribean!

Bart and his family provide the most beautiful villa for their guests. We have never been in such a well maintained property, everything was flawless and we cannot wait to get back! Thanks a lot for having us and letting us spend a wonderful time! The sunsets are amazing and the best thing is - you can watch them just on your very own porch or from the water, if you want to go for a quick dip.
