Beautiful place in a beautiful neighborhood! Has everything you need for a stay in Pittsburg. Essentials in kitchen and bath provided. Washer/dryer in the unit. Extremely comfortable king bed. Street parking was fairly full, but there was always a spot in front of the house. Hope to return something in the future!
The property was extremely clean, and as a germaphobe, cleanliness is very important to me. The bed was comfortable, and the over all appearance of the apartment was simple and cute. The neighborhood was quiet and lovely.
The good: Super super clean place and effortless check-in process. Location is lovely and quiet. AC works decently well. The bad: It’s a pet peeve of mine when hosts ask for you to clean (do laundry, dishes) when you leave. That’s literally what you’re paying for is the cleaning crew after your stay. Additionally, the bedding was a high polyester content and the bed was so hard I barely slept at all.I cleaned the place before I left and left it basically spotless including doing all their laundry. I accidentally left a valuable vintage jacket and dress in the closet and the host messaged me while I was at the airport to tell me they just left my stuff outside on the street. I have NEVER had that happen before. Typically a host offers to send it back. To leave a guests valuables on the street when they leave is crazy work.
It is a charming space with everything I needed to unwind at the end of the travel day. I did have ear plugs with me for sleeping which I needed - I could hear quite a bit of the neighbors' conversations and activities well into the night (it was a weeknight). If it's feasible to add sound proofing foam to the two connecting doors? Or a supply of ear plugs in the bathroom - that was the only thing that would have improved my rest and enjoyment while visiting. The thoughtful decor and practical amenities were cozy and refreshing.
