Don’t delay, this is one place you will want to stay! Set within the backdrop of a picturesque Northern Michigan forest this log cabin has all that you need and more for a vacation getaway. With five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a large bonus bedroom above the garage (Summer only, no bath, no heat) you'll find the perfect comfortable space for all your friends and family.

In the recreational and residential community of Michaywé you will find a variety of activities close at hand. The Lakes golf course, Michaywé Pines Golf Course, and access to the Michaywé Community pool and spa. With hiking trails, biking trails, and at the center of the Gaylord Golf Mecca you will never run out of things to do. Only a few miles from Tree Tops, Otsego Country Club, The Loon, The Ridge, The Natural and much more.

If a private time away is what you are after, then this rustic log cabin in the woods has all you need. Even with a house full of family and friends you will be able to find time to rest, read, and relax.

Please Note:
•WiFi & TV is Spectrum service
•There is no fire pit. Portable fire pits of all types are not permitted.
•Fireworks of all types are not permitted.
•Bonus Room above garage is only available from May - September. The only access to the bonus room is through the 2nd floor bedroom. No heat and no bath in bonus room.
•Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am. This is the Homeowners Association Rule and cannot be abused.

Main Floor:
Bedroom #1: Suite with private bath, two queen beds.
Bedroom #2: 2 queen beds with adjacent bath.
Additional: Full Bath & Laundry, Kitchen, Dining, and Living area.
Second floor:
Bedroom #3 is a suite w/ 2 queen plus one twin and private bath.
Loft area: 2 dormers w/ privacy curtains, one twin bed per dormer.
Additional: Loft area sitting space and walkway deck to garage.
Lower Level:
Bedroom #4: 2 full beds
Bedroom #5: 2 full beds and 1 twin.
Additional: Family room w/ 3 futons, big screen tv, dining table, kitchenette, and games.
Bathroom: Large with 2 pedestal sinks, tub with lots of towels and supplies.
Garage Upper:
4 full beds in garage bonus room (no heat or bath). Summer only.
Garage:
2 car garage with an extra refrigerator with plenty of room to hold all your coolers, clubs, and gear.
Parking: Park in driveway, circle and 4 spaces on adjoining lot.

Upgrades to the home are done by the owners regularly. Every detail of your stay is meticulously accounted for. Your time spent here is of the utmost importance and all that can be done to make it comfortable will. We hope to see you all soon!

Annual Golf Trip Stay

This property was exactly what we were looking for for our annual golf trip. Melinda was extremely easy to work with, and the house was even better than the pictures show. Everything was very clean, beds very comfortable, and house had more than enough room to accommodate us all. We would definitely book this property again!

Family Golf Weekend

Can't say enough about the property, the owner and our whole trip. Great experience and tons of room for our family reunion golf outing. Super quiet and relaxing with tons of places in the house to relax. Well equip house with all the amenities you would find in a high end hotel or your own house.

Great Golf Trip Destination for a large group

What a great experience staying at this property for our large golf group. We had 12 guys and could have had 6 more each with their own bed. Melinda was great and kept in communication with me during the whole process. Any questions were responded to very promptly. Will definitely be back next year.

Perfect for Golf Group

Had 16 of us for a long weekend of golf. House is in the perfext location for a ton of courses. The house itself is very large and contains noise very well. If someone was taking a nap, they could not here the group in the living room. 10/10 would recommend to everyone.

Log home experience

We had a wonderful time staying at this log home. The kids loved having their own space above the garage and loved the surroundings of the house. Everything was well kept and clean inside the home. The pool nearby was also great for my kids. We did run into a small issue but the owner Melinda did everything in her power to resolve and thats all you can ask for. Really central location for those wanting to travel to Makinaw island and traverse city. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore upper Michigan.

Fantastic Ski Trip

Our family of 19 spent three days at the Log House over Christmas break. What a lovely home! It is the complete package for a family vacation. The kitchen has everything you could want including pots, pans, and and various utensils. It also has a fully stocked pantry. The bathrooms are also well stocked with numerous soaps, shampoos, toiletries and more towels than you can count. This house has everything you could need. Our family had 19 people and we still had 3 beds go unused. It is a lovely setting to create memories. Thanks.

Outstanding Home and Perfect for Golfers

We had sixteen golfers that have played together for several years and this home was the best we have ever had. From start to finish the owner was wonderful. She answered all of our questions quickly and was very helpful during the entire reservation process. The house was exactly as described and if anything, the house was even better than what we expected. There was plenty of room to spread out. All the bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could use over a four day stay. They even provide two coffee makers which, for sixteen people, was a much appreciated amenity. For golfers: The location is walking distance to the Lakes course and a very short drive to several other courses such as the Loon, Black Forest, The Natural, Marsh Ridge, The Tribute, and Tree Tops. For those who plan golf trips for you buddies, this is the house to rent for your trip. We traveled to Forest Dunes on our last day and it was less than an hour away too. I would recommend this house to anyone who has a large group and needs lots of room. We will be coming back.

UNBELIEVABLE LUXURY

I don't know where to start. We were met by Melinda on the day of arrival where she went through the whole home, showing us all the things we needed to know. She answered all our questions and definitely made us feel welcome. Our group had 12 golfers, each wanting their own bed. The home had more than we needed. Plenty of bathrooms to accommodate everyone and never running out of hot water. We did grill out one night and even the grill was top shelf! There was an extra propane tank in the garage had we needed it. If you wanted to do more cooking, the kitchen was stocked with about every tool, pot, and pan you would need. And not old ratty ones that you find in many rentals. Linens were 5 star as well, and plenty of them. I don't know who does their cleaning, but I would hire them in a heartbeat. Not a dustball to be seen. For this being a VERY high end rental, it felt as comfortable as my own home. If you're looking for a beautiful log home that can accommodate a large group, this is the place! We will be returning the next time our golf outing brings us to the Gaylord area. Thanks again Melinda!!

What a wonderful place to stay. We have stayed in many places and this was the best supplied place ever. The location is great and the log home feel and decor is perfect for an up north getaway. We may never need a place this large and accommodating again, but if we do, we will not hesitate to stay here again.

This is an exceptionally well built log home that has been very well maintained. The kitchen exceeded expectations with respect to appliances, dishes, glassware, and stocked spices. We're an extended family that cooks most meals from scratch so this was much appreciated.Also, there are multiple common areas that allowed cousins to play games on one level, adults to converse on another, and perhaps another convo on a third.The beds and bedding were excellent quality. Rooms were furnished and stocked with nice touches. For example a cabinet of beach towels were provided to use at the pool that this rental gave us access to. Lots of games for the backyard and board games in a game cabinet.A second fridge/freezer in the garage helped our large group make fewer trips to the store.The long covered porch was a wonderful place to rock and watch a rainstorm!

Best place to stay in Northern Michigan

This was the second time our group has stayed at Melinda’s property in Gaylord for a golf trip and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area. Check in/out is a breeze and entire property is as stated in the description. Communication is phenomenal and we hope to stay here again in the future!

This is a custom log home built in 2005 by family and friends with love and care. If we may say so, this is a beautiful home. There is plenty of room for golfing groups or multi generation families.
We love the Michaywe community and you will, too. The clubhouse amenities which are available for guests include indoor and outdoor pools, hot tub, tennis courts, restaurant, and the Pines Golf Course. The Lakes golf course is out the back door! Many more golf courses are within a few miles.

Why they chose this property

You will love this property for your vacation. Everyone that has stayed here has wanted to return. The house is on a cul-de-sac with open space off the back deck for family ball games or cross country skiing and snowshoeing. It is quiet and seems very private. We try very hard to make sure all guests are comfortable and happy.

What makes this property unique

In all seasons, there is a lot to do and enjoy. Gaylord is the golf mecca of northern Michigan. This house is centrally located for all the great things to do Up North!
