Overall, the unit was exceptionally clean, and the host was was incredible—texts were answered in minutes. The location is great. We felt safe and comfortable, and it is perfect for access to UPMC, Pitt, and CMU. The listing has some inconsistencies that prevent this property from being a 10: The headline is "FREE PARKING". Only the limited street parking is free. The Garage parking is 20/night. Also, you must use an App for garage access, and only ONE phone can be authorized at a time. Finally, the listing specifies a walk in shower, but our unit had a bathtub shower--trivial unless you can't climb in and out of a bathtub.

The apartment was very clean and had all the essentials I needed. It was the perfect amount of space for my stay. Communication with the host was smooth and easy. I felt completely safe in the area, which made the experience even better. The location is excellent—just steps from grocery stores, restaurants, bars, Target, and more. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely book again!

The property was clean and neat. Well managed however, the advertisement said it was a two bedroom apartment. It was not. It was a one bedroom and there was a pullout sofa in the living room. There were three adults so Two slept in the one king bed one slipped on the sofa. because one slept on the sofa. We had nowhere to relax and just hang out because that was where one guest was sleeping. There’s one closet so there was nowhere for us to put our luggage and stuff. We paid for parking in the garage and we got locked out twice. Again it was clean and neat, but it became an uncomfortable situation for us for a week. So what could be improved? the main thing is stop saying it’s a two bedroom because it’s a one bedroom and that’s unfair to the people who are looking to have a good vacation, only to arrive and realize that the two bedroom apartment is a one bedroom apartment and you have three adults. It’s hard to enjoy your time when you’re in the apartment. Disappointed that this allowed to be advertised like it is. Shame on the owner and shame on VRBO for permitting it!!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you found the space clean, and we’re truly sorry for the confusion about the layout. We’ve now updated the listing to clearly show it is a one-bedroom with a pullout sofa, so this doesn’t happen again. We also apologise for the parking issues and have flagged this with the building to prevent future lockouts. Thank you again for your honesty — it helps us improve

The condo is well appointed in a safe location. There is nothing else but medical facilities on the (long) block, but there are good cafes and restaurants and grocery stores within a 10-15 minute walk. There is olive oil and an impressive spice collection in the kitchen, as well as a variety of cooking implements.Three things to be aware of:When we were there, the air had a strong chemical smell. It seems that the whole building was renovated in early 2025 and everything is off-gassing. There was also another chemical smell in the condo. This should get better with time, but don't stay here now if you're chemically sensitive. The owner uses a "Boarding Pass" app that will require a photo of your I.D. and face, and also a small security deposit or insurance payment on top of what you pay through VRBO, before you receive check-in information. The bed is on the firm side. Also, you may need to remove the light bulbs from the wall sconces and charge them before you can turn on the bed-side lights, and we found them too dim for reading a book in bed -- for those of us who still read books instead of phones before bed.
