About the host
Hosted by Wilson
Even in my youngest years as a child growing up in Ecuador, I dreamt about living in a house by the beach. We had beautiful beaches there but I left for the States before I had a chance to even see them.
Fast forward, and I was living in a small apt. in Queens and working at any job I could find , then getting promoted to a management position , getting married, having children and taking my kids on weekend day trips to Jones beach and Coney Island, spending more time in the car getting there than time spent squeezing onto a patch of sand on a crowded beach ... not exactly my dream.
It wasn't until I started exploring the Ct and RI shore towns that I remembered what I was seeking all those years ago.
I have enjoyed renovating old houses in my free time over the last several years but especially enjoyed renovating this one. I feel like I'm preserving a little piece of American History on the shores of where the first European settlers landed many years ago and surrounded by towns and beaches named after the Native Americans who preceded them.
I know my family will love the few weeks we get to spend there each summer thanks to you, our guests, who make that all possible.
