Welcome to your private Smith Mountain Lake retreat.
Set on a quiet deep-water shoreline with sweeping mountain and sunset views, this spacious lakefront home is designed for gathering — slow mornings with coffee overlooking the water, full days on the lake, and evenings around the firepit.
Perfect for 2–3 families sharing a lake week, Liberty University visits, and relaxed group getaways where everyone can stay comfortably together without feeling crowded.
Guests often plan activities around the lake… and end up spending most of their time simply enjoying the house, the dock, and the views.
Kayaks, paddleboat, firepit, sandbox, covered boat slip with lift, unobstructed Smith Mountain views, and high-speed internet — there's something for everyone at Happy Endings on Smith Mountain Lake.
This 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on prestigious Capewood Drive has southwestern exposure and panoramic mountain views with unforgettable sunsets. The main level features a great room with wood beams, vaulted ceilings, and gas fireplace for cozy evenings together. The well-stocked kitchen makes it easy to cook for a group, and younger guests will find everything they need — including kid-friendly dinnerware and booster seats — to feel right at home.
The lakeside sunroom is a favorite gathering space day and night, while the large deck overlooking the firepit, sandbox, and dock offers some of the best views on the lake. Outdoor cooking includes a gas grill and Blackstone griddle with seating for shared meals.
After a full day on the water, retreat to the spacious primary suite with lake views, the queen guest bedroom with adjacent bathroom, or the triple bunk room perfect for kids.
The lower level features a wet bar, pool table, air hockey table, and games for rainy-day fun. A second primary bedroom with queen bed and twin bunks works well for families, and an additional bunk room gives teens their own space. A pack n’ play is also available for our youngest guests.
The dock area includes a covered boat slip with lift (Memorial Day–Labor Day, inquire otherwise), floating dock for tie-up or sunbathing, and boathouse stocked with floats, noodles, life jackets, and mini-fridge. Guests may also enjoy kayaks (1 adult, 2 youth), canoe, paddleboat, and stand-up paddleboard.
