The condo was lovely and just as advertised. The beds were super comfy and the views from the deck were amazing. We even had a family of deer stroll by one afternoon. Stephen was very responsive and helpful with our trip planning. There is a Food Lion about 10 minutes away and and a cute coffee shop and great Italian restaurant on the same little shopping center. Great location for exploring Grandfather Mountain area or a short drive to Blowing Rock. Would definitely stay there again !

This property is absolutely perfect for a relaxing mountain stay. It was super clean, well kept, perfectly equipped kitchen and baths, everything you’d need. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable. The deck is very large, perfect for just gazing at nature. Great views. Easy to get to, close to town if you need anything or want to go to see Grandfather Mtn., some fun attractions, ski chair lift, golf, tennis, hikes, or into the town of Banner Elk. It’s close to restaurants and grocery stores, shops, pharmacy and cool antique shops. Stephen was excellent to work with. I had a question once we got into the unit and he immediately responded. Check in and access to unit was smooth and clearly communicated. This property is a 5 stars property and certainly will be a repeat stay for us.

Views for miles

This Sugar Mountain condo was outstanding. The covered balcony has mountain views that go on forever. The weather was perfect the entire week: mid 70s in the day; 50s at night. This is while many in the country were experiencing heat advisory temps. The unit inside is just like the listing pictures. It’s very spacious and liveable. The bed was comfortable. The shower was perfect: fire hydrant pressure. The kitchen had every pot,pan, dish, and glassware imaginable although we didn’t use them. Outside, the common grounds are immaculately kept with evergreens and seasonal flowers. The only problem we had was the stairs going down to the unit. I didn’t realize there would be steps. We’re older with some mobility issues. Younger, more fit people wouldn’t have a problem. We made it work, however. No way would we give up the beautiful condo and view. Stephen, the host, was very responsive, helpful, and patient even when I was peppering him with endless questions. This condo would be perfect whatever the season, but summer was especially wonderful. So glad we were able to spend a week there.

I took pictures of items noticed when we were there this week. This comes from a lot of experience staying in rentals on Sugar Mountain. For the owner I would make the following recommendations:Some of the towels in the master bath were way past their time. Threads coming loose. The kitchen sink has a leak at the spigot. Microwave light is burned out. Overhead light over the tub in the guest bathroom was burned out. Propane tank on the small fire pit was empty so could not enjoy this. Recommend a coffee table and another reading light in the living area. With the view, this place has a lot of potential.

We stayed here while we were visiting grandfather mountain for the 4th. The place is super clean, convenient and a lot more spacious than it looks. A little issues with the air conditioner but Stephen was great at communicating and got it fixed as quick as he could! We would definitely stay here again!
