Exceptional And 'only True Ski In/out Home On Mt. Baldy.'

This house is the only true ski in, ski out location on Baldy (adjacent to Warms Springs run/ uphill from Warm Springs lift). Large property and home on Warm Springs Creek where there is private fishing and a large yard for sledding and outdoor fun. Pool/Spa privileges to adjacent International village. It has wonderful privacy yet is next door to Warm Springs lodge and near Apples bar and restaurant. The home is warm and inviting with a large outdoor area with decks, BBQ and even a small pony corral. It is surrounded by the ski mountain and Warm Springs creek. All five bedrooms have their own private bathroom. The bunk room has a directionally flexible 'game ready' wall mounted HD TV. The living room has a large HD TV, DVD player and music system. There is also a couch in the living room that makes into a very comfortable Queen size bed.

For skiing the house could not be better positioned with true skiing and ski out. The house itself is dated. On very cold days most of the windows and walls radiated cold. One of the lower level bedrooms the sliding glass doors did not close letting in quite a draft. The owner has white carpet on the main level and does not allow ski boots requiring an odd path for use of the ski out gate. The hot water heater in the home should be replaced as it puts off a musky smell and showers were on full hot because it did not get hot enough to deliver a true hot shower.

Such a wonderful spot! We had a few issues to deal with as a result of the extra cold temperatures but they were remedied and we enjoyed awesome snow and bright sunshine and the best location in the area! Thank you.

Super exclusive location - chair lifts are in backyard! Very clean, beautiful, beds/linens pristine. We had plenty of room for 6 adults, 3 kids - could’ve invited another family! We had a magical time!

Loved the house and location. First time to Sun Valley so skiing with little ones is aggressive on warm springs side. Should have just gone to dollar with them. Loved the place can’t wait to go back.

You can't stay at a more convenient location for skiing Sun Valley. Not having to lug ski gear to and from cars/busses is an immense value. The house is clean and accommodating. We definitely would stay again and recommend for families.

Great house and location

We had a wonderful family vacation with lots of SV activities including great restaurants, hiking, mountain biking, and golf. The house was very comfortable and convenient. The front entrance spotlight was out and made entering the house at night a bit challenging without using a phone light.

Delightful

We were in town for just a short stay in August and loved the house. It was particularly nice to have in suite baths for every room, 3 with king beds for extra comfortable sleeping. This place would be amazing for access to lifts for winter skiing but also beautifully landscaped yard with perfect view of the mountain for lovely summer afternoons and evenings. Loved our stay and will look forward to the next visit.

Amazing property

We had a great time! The house was very nice and spacious. The location was fantastic. We had 12 people and there was plenty of space. The wood fire kept the home cozy, without it we would have been cold. Kitchen was well stocked and we loved just staying in and enjoying the winter. Being so close to skiing was amazing, just walk around the house. We will definitely stay again.

Great Property. In all my years renting VRBOs I have never been this close to the chairlift. The house was very clean and stocked well. My group of 40+ year old ski friends had a great time with no troubles. The Hot Pool was basically a big hot tub. The beds were comfortable the fire place was stocked with wood. No issues.

Perfect for our family of 7 adults

The property is beautifully and conveniently situated near the Warm Springs lift. Having five spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, was ideal for our 3 couples and single son. Communication with the owner was quick and helpful. Though the house manual might benefit from some added instructions about quirky doors or thermostats (or even some restaurant menus/recs) this was really an ideal house for our stay in Sun Valley, and we had a great time. Would absolutely return and recommend. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Awesome experience

We don’t take for granted that this beautiful home is located right on the Sun Valley ski slope. The views from the large windows offered us an up close and personal experience with the mountain. We are a group of family/friends who have skied together for nearly 60 years. Sun Valley is one of our favorites and to enjoy it in this unique way provided a memorable experience. Tom, the property manager, was very helpful. Instructions were clear and detailed. Each room with its en-suite bathroom provided plenty of comfort and privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved gathering around the dining table for meals, games and great conversation. We definitely will book this property again.

Best location in Sun Valley

I reviewed many properties in Sun Valley and this was, by far, the best location. Just steps from the slopes, chairlift and Warm Springs base area, we could not have been happier with the location. The views of the runs, chairlifts and the stream that runs along the property were great. The free shuttle to Ketchum was an easy walk to the Warm Springs stop and made it very easy to get to town. There is not a hot tub on the property but there is a heated pool with hot tub jets at one end that feels amazing at the end of a day of skiing within a short walk from the house. A couple of things that would have made this property better would be to have a hot tub on the big deck at the back of the house near the slopes and to get rid of the light carpet and get flooring more conducive to a ski in, ski out property so that the deck can be accessed in the winter time. Otherwise, a great location and a great ski trip!

Our nephew is stationed in Boise. This was our first opportunity to visit Sun Valley and we did it with your beautiful cozy home! Easy to check in. This house is prime location. We have rented many VrBos that tour ski in and ski out. This is truly that as you are right at the base beside two lifts and you ski back on house on Warm Springs. Others are about a 50 yd and uphill cross country ski path. We cooked a lot. Your house is well equipped. It was cold and someone kept restocking the firewood. Friendly gentlemen kept the path to the lift shoveled!! The house was charming and kept us all together and interacting. The beds were so comfy. Everyone adjusted well because of that fact. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We want to come back!! —-c brem1

I don’t think you could print my opinion. There was no AC. I dont pay that kind of money to be unable to sleep because of the heat. Both stairways were very steep and narrow. We saw a couple of mice. It said it was “2 minutes to Sun. Valley”. That’s not true. It’s 2 minutes to a ski lift in Warm Springs - the other side of the mountain from Sun Valley. White carpet in a rental is a terrible idea. We had small children and had to keep a close eye on them for fear of spilling. There were dead flies in the window sills. However, We really did enjoy the back yard

Great Location and Lots of Space

We had three couples at the house with rooms to spare that we didn't use. Highly recommend this property for a larger group who wants to be under one roof. Favorites: 1) Location and access to Warm Springs lift, lodge, and of course Apples. 2) Kitchen is relatively new (although the stove vent is pretty low and easy to hit your head on.) 3) Great value as the rental price is pretty low. 4) Entry way with bench to take off and store ski boots and shoes. 5) Hide-a-key with a code is great so nobody needed to take a house key with them. 6) Ample parking for three cars. Considerations: 1) House is pretty dated, but in great shape and keeps the rental rate low. 2) The dining room is a bit cramped. (We didn't eat any meals in, so perhaps its OK.) 3) We weren't able to use the fireplace on the main floor. 4) Can't walk directly from back porch to back gate to get to slopes in the winter.

Scenic Backyard!

The house was very comfortable and well equipped. Very convenient to Downtown Ketchum. Our 2 year old grandson loved the lush backyard. Since he is too young to sleep in a regular bed, we ordered a pack and play and had it delivered to a friend’s house in Hailey. We did box it up and left it at the property; hopefully, for the convenience of future renters. I would have given overall 5 star rating, but it was quite noisy because of construction with ski lift. Workmen were there from 7 in the morning until 7 PM, hammering and drilling on metal. I realize the owner had no control over this, just unfortunate timing on our part. Since it was cold at night and in the morning, we were thankful for the individual thermostat in every room. The no shoe policy took some getting used to. The decking was adorned by beautiful pots of flowers. Our family of 6 enjoyed our stay.

I have been coming to Sun Valley with family and friends since I was a little girl and cherish all the wonderful memories I have in this special place. I live primarily in Seattle and share this SV home with my family and friends as we create new memories together.

Why they chose this property

Buying this house was a very special and unique opportunity. This home nestled behind the trees at the base of the Warm Springs ski run next to the river was the find of a lifetime! The large property and home is perfect to share with my expanding family and all of our friends.

What makes this property unique

This house is truly a ski in ski out location where you can get up in the morning, walk out on the deck, put on your skis, ski out a gate and down to the lift. At the end of the day, ski right back in and not have to take off your skis until you are back on the deck. You can even baste your holiday turkey between runs! At the end of the day enjoy a large wood burning fire or a nearby pool which is heated as a hot tub in the winter complete with Jacuzzi jets.
In the summer it is equally as enjoyable. Enjoy the tranquility of the river, catch a trout on the property, explore the nearby woods, swimming pool, hiking and biking out the front door. Plus all Sun Valley has to offer within a short distance. Please note the "Explore the Area" on our listing incorrectly has Sun Valley Resort as a 2 minute walk which it is not. It is a 10 minute drive or you can take the free bus that leaves on the hour and half hour and is an 18 minute bus ride.
