My husband and I booked the rustic cabin as a much needed get-away and to stay while we looked at some nearby property for sale. The cabin was very cute and we noticed right away how clean it was. The view from the deck was spectacular as well. What we didn’t expect was the bed being up against 3 walls in the bedroom. (The foot of the mattress is up against the wall). This might be ok for some, but my husband and I both wake up a few times during the night so this made it challenging for the person along the wall to get out of the bed without disturbing the other one. Also, the listing stated there is a smart tv, but there was no WiFi so we weren’t able to watch it. I guess you could use a hotspot on your phone if your plan has that but ours did not. Overall, it was a peaceful place to stay but I wish I would have known those couple of details up front.

There’s not many places to stay in Glenville, but don’t waste your time here. I already was worried when I had to message the host the day of to receive check-in instructions. We would’ve never received them if I hadn’t asked. The main issue was the hot water wasn’t functioning properly. I messaged the host about this, and she said she “will ask her husband about it, but we’re out of town for a wedding.” And I never heard anything else from her. No effort to fix the issue or offer a partial refund for having to take cold showers for our entire stay. We’ve stayed in our fair share of VRBOs, and this place wasn’t dirty, but also wasn’t spotless by any means.We come to Glenville annually for a family reunion. We stayed with in her other cabin last year and the experience was mediocre. I was hoping this other cabin would be better, but we won’t be returning to either for future trips to Glenville.
