About this property

Montana Mountain Lodge Retreat

Get ready for a true western experience at this retreat nestled at the foot of the Absaroka mountains in the heart of our beautiful 3000 acre working ranch which is currently home to four generations of families, along with our cattle, horses and also an abundance of wildlife. This is one of the most scenic properties in all of Paradise Valley. We have a unique combination of total privacy, yet easy access from the ranch to many surrounding destinations and our own private hiking trails. The two most common words we hear from our guests about our place are "special and peaceful."The lodge sits on the bank of one of eight pristine streams on the ranch which contains cutthroat trout. It's a great place fish, explore or just sit and read a book. Fishing is available for an additional fee. Montana law is catch and release only for native cutthroats.

Nearby destinations include Yellowstone National Park-45 miles, Livingston-20 miles, Chico Hot Springs, Sage Lodge, a variety of restaurants at Emigrant- approx 10 miles, and Paradise Valley Community Church-5 miles to name a few. There are numerous Forest Service trailheads close by that provide some easy hikes to waterfalls and more challenging hikes for those who want to enjoy a mountain lake.

Much of the ranch borders the famous Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. The views from the lodge are breath-taking! There are 2 porches and a balcony deck that overlooks Elbow Creek where you can sit and relax or enjoy a meal while being serenaded by the sounds of the creek. There is a BBQ grill, picnic table and lawn chairs for use on the porches and a beautiful fire pit to gather around.

This is a great place to host large gatherings such as family reunions. There is lots of room for everyone! There are 3 separate log buildings, each with different amenities:
