Lighthouse View Beach Cottage-Great Ocean Views- the Redwoods are a short drive

Experience the sights and sounds of California’s North Coast from the comfort of our vacation home. Breathtaking views of the rugged coastline and Battery Point Lighthouse are enjoyed from the upstairs observation room & upstairs bedroom. The sounds of barking sea lions, crashing waves, soothing surf and fog horn will soothe and delight you.

Spaciously designed and comfortably furnished, our two story vacation home features an open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, a large combination kitchen/living area, two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, two bathrooms, and an observation room. A freestanding gas fireplace in the living room adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Conveniently located one-half block from easy beach access, a spiral stairway takes you to a picturesque beach to explore tide pools and beachcomb. Historic Battery Point Lighthouse, a few blocks away (from the beach or the street), is accessible during low tide and has tours available, giving you a rare glimpse into the daily operation and history of an active lighthouse.

The Lighthouse View Vacation Home is an ideal home base to explore California's North Coast, Redwood National and State Parks, the Smith River National Recreation Area, and other scenic wonders in this beautiful area. Or, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

We had an amazing stay. The house exceeded all expectations. Great location near restaurants, shopping and redwood sightseeing. The view of the lighthouse and Pacific Ocean is second to none. I highly recommend staying at the lighthouse if you’re visiting crescent city.

The view of the beach, lighthouse and ocean was picturesque and it was just a short 2 minute walk to the beach access stairwell. Nice quiet neighborhood, and the house was clean, and check in, check out process was seamless. I would definitely stay here again!

The house was sparkling clean when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. Beds are comfy. The viewing room is the best. Could set up there all day, hard to tear ourselves to go to the beach. Our second time staying there and will be back.

Nice home steps away from Third Street beach access and the Battery Point Lighthouse. Home was very clean and is exceptionally well stocked with anything you might need. The host is friendly and easy to communicate with. As others have already mentioned, the ocean & light house views from the upstairs room are excellent. Overall, a great home base for exploring the areas around Crescent City. We would gladly return!

A lovely property and very well equipped. Very quiet location with good parking and fantastic views. Lots of activities nearby and we ate at the Seaquake Brewing restaurant which is a great place. The owner was very helpful and responsive. Would recommend this property!

Great location to visit the Redwoods

Great view of the lighthouse and ocean from the upstairs loft and a short walk to get down to the beach. The furniture in the house is a little dated, but everything functioned well. Crescent City is a great central location to go explore the Redwood parks.

The house is clean and had everything we needed for a great stay. We really loved being so close to the parks. Stout Grove and Grove of Titans were great hikes. Taking the Battery Point Lighthouse tour was fantastic.

The vacation home was just as described on VRBO. In fact, the location was even better. Walking on the beach in a quiet area was so relaxing. The furnishings were comfortable and met our needs.

Redwood NP Base Camp

The property is ideally-positioned next to a scenic beach access, and local retail amenities. It is well-appointed and well-kept, quiet, and affords great views of the ocean, especially from the upstairs sitting room. We’d definitely stay here again.

Perfect location close to Redwoods

Great location with amazing views of Pacific and Battery Point Lighthouse. Short drive (20-40 minutes depending on location) to the various Redwood state and national parks. Walkable or short drive to local brewery with fantastic menu and 5 min drive to several other restaurant options as well as grocery store. Well appointed, clean, and comfortable.

Great time visiting Crescent City and our stay at Lighthouse View Beach Cottage was great also. Very convenient to stores/restaurants downtown and such close access to the beach and walks was wonderful. Our host Beth was very helpful with any questions we had about her house and the area. The cottage was very comfortable and easy to take care of. Great location for visiting the Redwoods and beaches northern California and southern Oregon.

Our Redwoods Vacation

This was a wonderful location to enjoy many of our Redwood hikes. It was very comfortable for my husband and I and another couple. It was equipped with everything we needed and just required a quick stop to the grocery store. We found several good restaurants and enjoyed being so close to the beach.

Amazing beach view

The whole place was amazing! The views and the scenery were amazing! Also how close we were to the beach and the light house were so amazing! Highly recommend staying here! My family and I would stay here forever if we could!

This house was the perfect location. We loved being so close to the ocean to just walk over whenever we had a few spare minutes. And everything in town was 5 minutes or less away. We appreciated all the information about the area and used a lot of it for recommendations on restaurants, coffee hikes, and ocean viewing. The binoculars in the upstairs sun porch were great- we took them with us to a recommended viewing spot up the road and were able to see a bunch of sea lions sunbathing.

Redwood Forest Trip

We visited Crescent City to experience the Redwood Forest at Jedediah State Park. This seaside getaway was perfect for us. So close to the state park, and walking distance to the beach, jetty’s and lighthouse. The best place to eat is also super close at Seaquake Brewery.
