About this property

Munsel Lake Landing with its own dock.

Munsel Lake Landing is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath 1600 square foot lake front home. It has it's own boat dock and is located on Munsel Lake, just 4 miles from the center of Florence, and just 1/2 mile from the Ocean Dunes Golf Links Course. If you hate those windy summer days at the beach enjoy yourself on a wind protected lake.

This historic home was built in 1949 by the owners father, and all the wood was milled by the owners father in his lumber mill. Which includes Hemlock, Western Cedar, Flat Grain Pine and Chinquapin. It has been renovated and updated over the years. To include new windows and doors, a large master bedroom, and a second bathroom plus a laundry room with full size washer and dryer. . It has it's own private dock. Launch your boat at the public ramp and then park it at the dock for the duration of your stay. No RV or ATV trailer parking is permitted, due to the narrow road to access the house and the availability of parking.

The living room, dining room and kitchen all open onto the patio with fantastic views of the lake and a marvelous outdoor living space. There is a glass topped range, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, a full size washer and dryer and a wood burning, fireplace with insert. There is also a super small 1 car garage.

In the primary bedroom you'll find a king bed, a large closet and a desk in case you need a quiet place to get work done. It is on the lake side of the house so it has stunning views.

There are 3 more bedrooms 1 with built in twin bunk beds, 1 with a queen bed, and one with twin beds. It sleeps a maximum of 8 due to the septic system.

Perfect location

Perfect Vacation

We enjoyed especially the location by the lake. It was quiet and somewhat romantic. With the exception that the WIFI sometimes did not perform as we wished, everything was in working order.

Munsel Lake

Our children and grandchildren had a great stay at this house. House was clean and description was accurate. A few questions were answered quickly. The adults and children also had a wonderful time fishing off the dock and cooking the trout they caught. They were accompanied by a bald eagle fishing the same time as they were! Beautiful setting and house was well maintained.

Cabin feeling in Florence

Florence was one of our stops in our 3 weeks road trip in Oregon. The house was well located in a nice neighborhood by Munsel lake and far from the main road. Even tho, we experienced the true wetcoast during our stay, we really enjoyed the house with a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living rooms and TV.

Beautiful well-loved lake house

Go back in time and imagine being in a family who has a generational cabin by the lake where you go every year and relax and fish. Florence couldn't be a more beloved little town. My husband and I went for birdwatching in the area and were not disappointed. I can see why this is such a popular recreation area. The cabin has everything you need.

Great view

Loved the awesome view from the decks, and having our own dock was the best. We took our kayaks and canoe and loved being able to just get in and out at the house all weekend long. The house is a little dark and might have felt small if we would have been stuck inside because of rain or something however with nice weather and lots of seating and decks outside it was fine for us. Golden Girls Retreat

We are a "friends group" of advanced age. We found everything wonderful! Our only thought was that there could have been a few sturdier lounge chairs on the deck and the living room furniture, although it was very aesthetically pleasing, was low and difficult to get out of. The house was very well stocked and all our needs were met. We had a great time! Thank You!

Beautiful location

Lovely place, lovely weather, well stocked. There is NO land to enter or exit kayaks or water equipment; must go on and off the dock or away from property to boat ramp. While the furniture looks clean and nice, they sit so low it is difficult to get out of them. I even sunk to the bottom of the couch cushion sitting down and I am not a big person. We were unable to play DVD movies, couldn't make it work. But had a lovely time.

Great Lake house!

We had a great time over the 4th of July weekend staying here. House was clean and close to everything in Florence. Towels for the lake and we loved the dock. Leslie was a great host and very responsive to all messages. We will definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Last minute birthday

We rented the property for my dad’s birthday and he loved the location on the lake. The dock was great and the view of the lake from the windows was beautiful. It was a short drive to the beach and the bay. FYI- You have to be able to back your boat trailer up a long twisty driveway in order to park it. There’s no turning a trailer around at the house. The only downside was no railing on the top bunk, so the kids couldn’t enjoy sleeping up there.

Cozy Cabin on the Lake

This cozy cabin is the perfect place to relax while enjoying drop dead views of Munsel Lake. Bring your fishing poles and kayaks to make use of the private dock. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the beds are comfy. Watch for the Bald Eagle that likes to perch above the dock in the evenings or the Osprey nesting on the far side of the lake. Cute, cozy, quaint, clean are just a few of the many ways this wonderful cabin can be described. We can’t wait to come back.
