My family of six had a great time at Bear Hollow. Super cute cabin and really close to the beach. Left coast vacation rentals were attentive and helpful. Would totally come back!
Ideally located if you want to visit Sleeping Dunes; very clean, very responsive management. Be careful of the brick around the fireplace stove tho; I stubbed my toe a couple of times!
The property is in a nice, quiet wooded location. It is an easy walk to the beach and just one mile south of Glen Arbor. Given the wooded location, the house has a slightly musty smell when you first enter, but lots of windows and fans bring in fresh air. This is a loft property with two bedrooms upstairs. Note that the steps are steep and may be challenging for people with mobility or health issues. The primary bedroom is open, so you will hear all downstairs activity. Also, the closet in that room is locked for owner use only. There is a closet in the other bedroom, but we found this somewhat inconvenient. The property has beautiful hardwood floors on the main level and a nice modern kitchen with appliances all in good working condition. You should plan on providing your own coffee and spices. There are two full bathrooms with lovely tile floors, plenty of hot water, and good hotel-quality towels. We had to contact the property manager twice for small questions. Both times she was very responsive and answered our questions quickly. They take pride in providing good service. Finally, we really enjoyed Lake Michigan, the quiet beach, and area activities. We recommend Leelanau Coffee, the Tuesday Farmers Market, Inn and Trail for sandwiches, and Good Harbor Grill for whitefish. Cheers! Hope you enjoy your stay in Glen Arbor!
