Great property overall! Our group loved the big bbq area and kitchen space with 2 fridges. Marnie was super easy to reach and was available if ever needed. Highly recommend!
The venue was exactly what we needed! The host was there to greet us and show us around the property, which was clean and organized. I was especially impressed with how well-equipped the kitchen is, and we found the secondary kitchen to be extremely useful for preparing large meals. We hope to return again in the future!
We had an amazing 3 day stay. We had family of 12 visiting from overseas and this house was a highlight. Check in was easy, Marnie was super helpful and the location is amazing. Definitely worth the visit. River is so close and we floated down with tubes. 10/10.
Property was perfect for our group, we couldn’t ask for more. Enough space for each family, big kitchen/dining area, so we could all have meals together. Surrounding nature added to our stay. Kids roamed around and enjoyed the outdoors even in the rainy weather. The stay was 10 out of 10 for us.
Quiet, serene, and the perfect getaway for any group. We spent a weekend away with a group of 20 and the house had plenty of amenities to keep everyone active and having fun.
Marnie was an amazing host, keeping the house clean and giving us a full tour on arrival.
This is a great option to stay at for any occasion.
We had a great family reunion (16 adults) at this location. There's plenty of space to hang out in big or small groups. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and river swimming and games on the grassy areas. All the facilities were in excellent shape. The kitchen spaces, fridges, bar area, BBQ area all very useful and well equipped.
Easy check in, it was all ready for us and Marnie met us to give a tour. The kitchen was big with so much refrigerator and freezer storage. A catering kitchen. The pool and hot tub were so clean and at perfect temperature. It was fun to tube down the river right to the property from the gun club parking. So many salmon to see in the crystal clear river, like an aquarium. Many special memories made here for all 19 of us!
We had a wonderful time. House, patio, pool, hotub, bbq area, was plenty of room for all of us. It was a great place to be. The river was refreshing. We had amazing weather. The host was very friendly.
All our children thought the place had lots to do for all ages, which was a bonus.
Tubing down the river was a highlight for the adults.
The property was perfect for a large group of guys to celebrate our friend before his big day. There are numerous beds, ample kitchen/fridge space and the cigar lounge was a favourite place to hang out. The lodge is close to town and access was easy with the frequent communication with the host. Our group would’ve loved access to the wine cellar and pool house but they were not open - however there is still plenty to do around the property. Thanks for a great weekend !
Our group of 18 adults had the best time staying at this property for 3 nights over New Years Eve. The lodge is exceptional and everyone raves about the ease of cooking for such a large group in the well appointed kitchen. Cool river dips just down the stairs to start every morning was a blast and the hot tub helped afterwards! The bedrooms were all very comfortable with great beds and wonderful private bathrooms. Can’t recommend staying here highly enough!
The West Coast River lodge was the perfect location to bring 3 generations of family and friends together to celebrate our dad’s 80th birthday. The lodge and pool house gave us the space to be all together as well as the space to hang out in smaller groups. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for and serve our large group.
Thank you for all the new memories and a wonderful weekend.
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely resort. Everything was as advertised. Lots of amenities for the 7 of us. Our only issue was with highway 4 (Parkville to Port Alberni) which was temporarily closed due to road work.
We didn't use TV while at the resort, but it would be nice to have instructions for using the remotes which are different from the ones we were used to.
Overall the children had a blast. Only downside is the air conditioner doesnt reach parts of upstairs so be prepared to have a little warmer temperature in some rooms. Everything else were great. No complaints! They even provide some pool toys, also see some deers, its great.
What an amazing getaway! The lodge is beautiful and is perfect for throwing events. The pool and hot tub were perfect. River was a little low in june so we didnt get to swim there but dang was it pretty. You have to bring your own seasonings, oil etc which is a bummer but i guess when you have 23 people there you'd rip through it. There was a nice espresso maker and drip coffee machine along with sugar and sweetners. Theres a gjant dining room table so we could all eat together. The kitchen is perfect for making big meals and has a giant sliding door fridge as well as a normal size one, multiple bar fridges, and an upright freezer. Tons of space to store food and drinks. Marnie was a lovely host
This picturesque property provided ample space for our group of nine. The hosts were exceptional in communication, promptly addressing any queries or issues. Nestled in a serene countryside setting, the lodge is conveniently just a 10-minute drive from town.
Our intimate wedding ceremony and five days of family time were made memorable by the well-equipped kitchen, grill, and smoker—ideal for preparing all our meals efficiently. The individual bathrooms in each room, along with two extras downstairs, added to the convenience. The added bonus of a well-stocked bar made crafting cocktails a delightful breeze.
5 stars would recommend.
Our family of 17 rented the West Coast Lodge for four nights and had a wonderful experience! Very well equipped, clean, on a beautiful clear river breaming with jumping salmon! We floated, paddle boarded, fished, swam, enjoyed the pool and hot tub, barbecued, used the smoker, played games and just plain relaxed.
The beds were comfy and the rooms well appointed with TVs, towels, shampoo, soap bars and hairdryers.
Marnie was a pleasure to work with, always responding quickly and pleasantly.
We hope to visit again next year! Thanks so much :)
Our family of 22 - 3 generations - had an amazing visit at WCRL. Beyond expectations. So many times during our days there I heard everyone say how the place was perfect. No one wanted to leave the property. No need to plan off site events. Even the teenagers just wanted to chill there.
We were delighted from the moment we pulled into the immaculate, private, expansive grounds.
We enjoyed the roomy and comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, a variety of indoor and outdoor visiting spaces, gazebo, games room, spectacular kitchen with everything you could possibly need, great covered barbecue area, beautiful sparkling pool and hot tub, lovely trail access to river front swimming holes..... And so many more surprises - who expects a cozy firepit in a lush forest garden complete with a waterfall?!?!
Marnie and Sean have it dialed. They are wonderful hosts. I would highly recommend this Lodge for family vacations.
The big event tent and stock of chairs inspired some spontaneous, rocking good games of musical chairs. Such fun!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Marnie and Sean.
We came to celebrate our anniversary. We loved the amount of bathrooms, the many hidden places for small groups to gather, and especially enjoyed our anniversary dinner by the waterfall. The pool was a great hit with the kids. Every thing promised worked and we have no complaints. Wonderful week!
We had an amazing time at the West Coast River Lodge. Hosts are responsive and lovely. Fully equipped bar and kitchen made food and drink prep easy!
AC on the mainfloor was great, and although the upper rooms were a bit hot in the night we figured out just the right combo of windows open and fans on.
