PET POLICY:
Sugar Beach Guests and Long Term Guests Pet Rules & Regulations
In order to ensure a pleasant stay, we ask that you follow all Rules and Regulations listed below.

Florida law prohibits pets on the beach. This prohibition includes the beach at Sugar Beach Condominiums and our neighboring beaches. Contact Bay County or Panama City Beach to inquire about dog-friendly beach parks.

Allowed Pets: Only two (2) pets (dogs) per unit are allowed on Sugar Beach Property, and only with the consent of the unit owner.

Vicious Breeds: All dogs meeting the designation of vicious breeds determined by our insurance underwriter are not permitted on the property at Sugar Beach. This includes but is not limited to the following dog breeds, whether purebred or mixed: Akita, Chow, Doberman Pincher, German Shepherd (including active or retired trained police or military dogs), Pit Bull, Presa Canario, Rottweiler, Staffordshire Terrier, and Wolf Hybrid.

Leash Law: While on the property, pets must be on a leash. Pursuant to Bay County Code of Ordinances Chapter 4, an "at large" dog is defined as any animal off the property of its owner and not under direct control of a competent person. The Code requires an owner to be in direct control of their dog. " Direct Control" means an animal that is controlled and is obedient to a competent person's commands, is restrained by leash or tether of appropriate length, or other physical control device.

Pets must be in direct control of their owner or guardian at all times on a short leash.

Pets shall not be tied to any fixture outside of any unit. No fence or structures to be outside unit to contain your pets).

Pet Waste and Fees: ALL OWNERS and GUEST must immediately collect and dispose of pet waste in the waste receptacles provided on the property. Should a pet owner fail to clean up after his/her pet, the Association or Management Company may fine the owner and/or perform the clean-up and bill the Unit Owner for the reasonable and customary cost of the same.

Nuisance Pets: No pets shall be allowed to constitute a nuisance or annoyance to other owners or lessees, including continuous barking/noise, foul odors, or infestations.

Restricted Areas: Pets are not allowed in the clubhouse, pool area, grill area, tennis court, pond, or landscape beds. We do have designated dog-walk area(s) on the property.

Registration: Owners and all guests shall register their pets at the front desk and will be given a pet tag. Pet tags are to be displayed on the pet at all times while on the premises of Sugar Beach. Registration requires pet owners to provide proof that all vaccinations are current for the pets). There is a non-refundable pet registration fee due upon arrival. If a guest does not register their pet in the office, including providing the necessary documentation with registration payment and the pet occupies a unit in the Sugar Beach complex, the owner will be billed the pet registration fee and fined accordingly.

Pet Registration Fee:
3 or less days - 1 dog $80; 2 dogs $120
4 or more davs - 1 dogs $150; 2 dogs 200 

CHECK IN
- Requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1,000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable $59 damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company, not VRBO. This takes place on a separate secure website not associated with VRBO.
