Today Pipe Creek water levels are unseasonably low due to drought and low rainfall conditions in the Texas Hill Country.
The majestic nature that surrounds your stay at Rancho Madroño in the Texas Hill Country offers a variety of recreational activities. From hiking, to fishing and swimming, the many landscapes of your special getaway offer a variety of excursions for you and your guests. A short drive from the ranch are multiple activities such as visiting historic quaint cities, local wineries and the San Antonio Riverwalk.
Pipe Creek meanders through the hidden valley on the ranch. This spring fed creek is beautiful and wonderful for fishing and swimming. However, during drought years or during times of seasonal lows, the creek will not always be flowing above ground and will, therefore, be dry or at a lower water level in some areas. However, with 2 miles of Pipe Creek on the property, there are still spring-fed swimming holes and deep holes with bass, perch, and catfish to fish off the creek banks or on kayak. Please check with our ranch manager for current creek conditions.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Extraordinary guest. They left the property clean, organized and even did their beds before their departure. We will be honored to host them again. Followed all property rules and respected the Ranch's core values.
