Located in Suttons Bay, this holiday home is in the city centre and on the beach. City Opera House and Old Town Playhouse are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Village at Grand Traverse Commons and Hippie Tree. Great Lakes Children's Museum and Jacob's Corn Maze are also worth visiting. Take in the nearby slopes with cross-country skiing and snowboarding, or try out other outdoor activities such as ice skating and snowmobiling.
This is a beautiful cottage and it is very well kept and clean. Our stay was in early spring during cold weather and the furnace was more than up to the task. Access to the beach is across an unbusy road, and the view of the beach and bay was very nice. Lots of amenities as described in the write-up, and everything was tip-top shape. We had a very relaxing long weekend in spite of less than ideal weather. I'm sure this property is wonderful in the spring, summer, and fall. I highly recommend this property, and will be looking to come back again.
The host was welcoming and the home and amenities were in good shape. The Home was spacious, comfortable and we especially enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck. We were unable to get the gas fireplace to work and it would have been helpful to have a clear list of items to complete before we checked out of the property.

I apologize for the fireplace being a manual appliance. It was running before your arrival and started after check out. The little sticker labels and my instructions can be frustrating to restart when the pilot is turned off accidentally. It may need to be upgraded in the future.
The check out list maybe too short to recognize.
The list is this:
Start dishwasher if needed
Start washer with no more than 6 towels.
After looking into this I now see other listings ask for more.
Things that should be added:
Close windows
Turn off water faucets
Ensure stove is not on
Refrigerator doors closed
Turn off lights
Cover hot tub
Return kayaks and SUP'S, paddles and life vests properly
Check all rooms, closets, cabinets and drawers for personal items
Lock doors
Text that check out is complete and house is ready for cleaning.
I'm sorry your experience failed to fulfill the expectations offered from the listing pictures and description. I will pay for it thru a very unforgiving algorithm Lol.
I hope to receive constructive feedback thru DM and accept suggestions as my "to do" list.
The house is great! Aaron was super friendly as a host. The location is perfect for exploring the area, yet far enough to get some distance from the high tourist areas. Would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely beautiful location House was wonderful had everything we neededLoved the hot tub and the kayaks and bonfiresWould definitely book here againHost was very responsive
Lovely spot to celebrate a wedding anniversary! My husband and I enjoyed the easy access to the beach and the lovely surrounding area. Great location and amenities!
Very comfortable, clean house with great location very near toTraverse City, Sutton's Bay, Grand Traverse Lighthouse and of course wineries and cideries! Aaron was a great host!
Everything was amazing at Aaron’s place! We had the best time and we will be back! The sauna and hot tub were great and the beach with the kayaks and paddle boards and fire pit were so fun!
Aaron is a great host. The place is very thoughtfully stocked with everything you could want. The hot tub was great, and we enjoyed fires at sunset on the beach. The beds were very comfortable, as was the furniture.
The location was perfect. It was too cold for water activities, but having campfires on the beach was amazing! The host was extremely nice and accommodating, he even left flowers for us after discovering we were there on our mini-honeymoon. Will definitely keep this spot in mind for future trips!
The house was immaculate, comfortable, and well equipped. I enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, and esp the beach - Sandy, calm, clear water. The host was gracious and quick to respond to questions and requests. The whole vibe was sweet, peaceful, and lovely.Highly recommend!
Lovely, spacious clean home stocked with everything you need. Although the lake is across the street from the house, there is a wonderful, large outdoor room to sit and enjoy the lake views, sunsets and sunrise. It was wonderful!
We loved our stay at Aaron’s place! Everything was amazing. Such a great host. We can’t wait to stay again. The place was bigger that the pictures looked. Super clean.
Our third year here and love it more each time. The amenities, the thoughtful stocking of items at the house that make it more comfortable and accommodating, and the continuous upgrades are always so appreciated. It’s our home away from home and you simply can’t beat the beach area at this property!!
The place was clean and nice. The owners live in part of the house but we're not there while we were (and the areas are separate). The hot tub was okay and I didnt try the sauna long (could figure it out). The lake view was absolutely amazing and very relaxing. Lots of outdoor amenities on the property. I really enjoyed the stay.
