This apartment has a porch balcony overlooking the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Coltejer building which is the tallest and most iconic building in Medellin. Within a short walk from restaurants, shopping centers, transportation, and banks. 5 minute walk to museums and major downtown sites. The Metropolitan Cathedral is 1 block away and the most important street in downtown Medellin, Avenida Oriental is also 1 block away.
This building is in a very quiet area despite its central location. Why stay far from everything when you can be in the Heart of the city for so much less. Taxi rides average $3 to Poblado or most major points of interest. For less than the price of a hotel room, up to 8 people can enjoy this beautiful apartment.

MEDELLIN

Diego's home was very spacious and comfortable. The artwork was wild and the guys loved having the pool table in the living room. It got a lot of use. It was also great having the fire stick on the tv...ssme one we have in Mexico. The location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go and Diego was great with responding to any concerns we had.We'd recommend this home to future travelers.

Amazing home for an amazing price

I couldn't have been happier with our stay at Diego's apartment. It was big and spacious with plenty of room for our family of 6. There were a few small issues that were quickly resolved by Diego which spoke volumes for his attention to our comfort and experience. The location was incredibly close to anything you might need (bank, subway, taxis, groceries, vendors). The pool table was a huge plus for our 4 boys and our local friends. This apartment came across our radar when our Airbnb reservation, that we scheduled in February 2019, canceled on us 2 weeks before August 2019 stay. While this was a huge disappointment, I believe it worked out better in the end for us. I couldn't have been happier with our accommodations and our host. Thank you for helping to make our Colombian vacation one to remember.

Our guest and his family were the most gracious and respectful guests anyone could wish for. They were respectful and understanding to the point of being willing to bath with cold water when we ran out of gas, but we were not going to allow that, especially with them. They also took good care of the apartment which is much appreciated. I would welcome them back any time!

Deep in the Heart of Medellin

This property is spacious, clean, comfortable and uniquely decorated. We stayed at Villa Nueva for the entire 3 months we spent in Medellin. Diego is a great host. He always responded to any question within a very short time. He addressed all of our questions with complete, understandable answers making our stay more enjoyable. The only thing we found to be a bit of a negative was the noise that comes from the busy streets below the apartment. This however was balanced out by the fantastic plant filled veranda that was our favorite place to relax for our morning coffee and our afternoon reading time. If you are looking for a place that offers an opportunity to experience the real Medellin this is the place for you.

Why they chose this property

Everything you need is within walking distance. The prices are much lower in this area for food, shopping, and other things. If you need to go to other areas of town, there are taxis and the metro within walking distance. You get a huge apartment for a fraction of what they cost in other areas for an apartment of the same size. Keep in mind that you will not get this rate for the good location, size, and number of bedrooms and baths of this apartment. Other places might have sleeping capacity but the square footage is a third of what you're getting here and the location may not be as convenient.
