The home and property was amazing! It is so peaceful and the communication with the host is great. The living room windows look out towards the lake. Great location when visiting Denali, Talkeetna, and GlacierView.
We had a great time at this property. There were 10 of us including four children and the amenities were really nice. We spent three nights and it was a good way to have a home base while visiting Denali and Talkeetna. It is about an hour to each one of those. A group of us hiked up the Ermine trail (6 miles round trip), we used the kayaks and canoe, and even did some swimming in the lake. The firepit was a nice way to warm up. The rooms were comfortable and the view was great. We also enjoyed the little 3rd floor overlook. Highly recommend!
We loved this property. Rooms all upstairs. Kitchen, dinning, and family room downstairs with a fabulous fireplace that quickly heats everything! We didn't take advantage of the oversize jacuzzi-tub, but oh so tempting. Jason responded quickly to all our question. Mike, the property manager responded to our needs (supplies: garbage bags, etc.). Took walks in the rain down to the on-property lake. Just a wonderful stay.
We had a wonderful stay! The host went above and beyond to make our anniversary extra special by arranging a beautiful décor setup and a bottle of champagne. It was such a thoughtful surprise and truly made our trip memorable. The property was lovely, and the hospitality was outstanding. Highly recommend!
This property is completely off grid for water and electricity. We did not have any issues during our three day stay. It’s a great location to see Denali National Park and surrounding areas. It sits on a quiet lot with beautiful views. We were close to a trailhead, but we didn’t see anyone come through the property by mistake. This unit is truly a 2 bedroom. The pull out sofa is really an extension of the sofa cushions not a mattress. This did not affect our stay, but keep in mind if you need more than 2 bedrooms. These pullout sofas are probably better for teenagers and younger children if you need more bed places. We were three adult couples. The host did offer the additional bedroom unit for a rate, but we were not going to be there long enough for it to matter.
This is an off-grid property with beautiful views of mountains and lake, which we only got to enjoy for a short time just as we checked in. Then it rained until the day we left Alaska. It is 1.5 hours from Denali National Park, a nice break for the drive to Denali from Anchorage. The rooms are clean, the host and care-taker are prompt with the communications. Because of rain, we had some wet clothes to launder but the laundry room was locked. Although off-grid, the tap water did not taste bad to drink.
Our stay in early June was really relaxing and had minimal mosquitoes. The host was super accommodating. Enjoyed the lake’s beauty (even without any fish in it). The highlight was a double rainbow at 10pm over the lake.
