About this property
Good Life (lower Suite) @ Shawnigan Beach Resort.
This bright & spacious suite is the lower portion of a two story house situated on the grounds of Shawnigan Resort.Amenities include indoor pool, sandy beach, protected swim area,water slide, wharf for fishing,paddle boarding,kayaking(no boat moorage)tennis,pickle ball,basketball,pitch&putt .This is not a waterfront condo however located directly across from the pool and a short(approx.2 min walk)to beach.Walking distance to Shawnigan Lake school, short drive to Kinsol Trestle & 15 min to Ocean.
Shawnigan Lake Village is a 5 minute drive, and features a quaint local dinner, sushi, thai & mexican food, coffee shop/bakery, pizza, and a Subway, yoga and hair salon. Close by is the ocean front town of Mill Bay where you can find a Thrifty Foods grocer, library, restaurants, and a liquor store, print shop and boutique shopping. North towards Duncan, a 25 minutes drive) fabulous Sat. open air market, Cowichan Bay (15min drive), a beautiful seaside town with an abundance of local treasures including a childrens marine centre, maritime museum, kayak rentals, whale watching and art galaries.
Access to the beach and waterfront facilities is a very short walk less than 2 min. The indoor pool and sauna are (open seasonally approximately End of May through the first few days in September) located just next to the Good Life House. The tennis pickleball/ courts are located just beyond the pool house. There are beach toys and 2 kayaks for your use and a small wagon to help with transport of toys and or picnic basket and towels. You have access to the entire private suite and to the shared laundry upon request.

This is a quiet residential area with easy walks to other beach access points or grounds of Shawnigan Lake School. The Village of Shawnigan Lake has several restaurants, bakery, coffee shops, ice cream parlour, gas station, children’s clothing store, barbershop, beauty salon, liquor store, pharmacy and dispensary.
There is a bus stop a short distance from the house with limited access to Duncan Mill Bay and stops in between.
Commuter bus stop to Victoria in Mill bay and Cobble Hill.
Approximately 1 hour drive from Swartz Bay Ferry terminal.
Approximately 1 hour drive from Victoria International Airport.
Approximately 1 hour drive from Duke Point and Departure Bay Ferry terminals.
*PLEASE NOTE...THE GOOD LIFE (LOWER SUITE) IS ALWAYS CLEANED WITH A STRONG DISINFECTANT. THE VIPER CLEANING SOLUTION IS RECOGNIZED BY BRITISH COLUMBIA HEALTH AUTHORITY AS A POWERFUL DISINFECTANT. ALL FREQUENTLY USEFED SURFACES SUCH AS DOORS AND HANDLES ARE WHIPED BETWEEN EACH GUEST STAY.
There is room to park one vehicle only next to the house, an additional vehicles will need to park in the visitor parking are or on the street (free parking) in front of the house.The suite can sleep 4 comfortably there is an additional queen air bed available upon request.
The upper portion of this house is also rented out during the summer season. If both units are rented you can expect noise crossover similar to that of a condo or an apartment.
The indoor pool is closed from September (ish) through April (ish).
The pool can also be closed for periodic cleaning and or repairs and maintenance that is beyond my control.
- Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am NO MUSIC, LOUD VOICES OR EXCESSIVE NOISE OF ANY KIND
This is a guideline so that all guests can expect a reasonable amount of time to sleep and rest.
**if this quiet time line does not suite your needs please do not book these accommodations. (late arrivals and early departures are of course excluded and acceptable, advance notice is appreciated) (the unavoidable noise from children is also acceptable as this is a family environment and these sounds are to be expected)
-Permission must be requested in advance for any unregistered guests.
-No smoking, vaping or use of drugs on the entire Shawnigan Beach Resort grounds.
- No shoes in house.
- Posted pool rules must be strictly adhered to.
- B.B.Q is to be left clean
- All resort shared amenities have posted rules that must be followed along with sensible courtecy to others.
- Swimming and use of waterfront at your own risk.
- No swimming under the water trampoline.
- Leave sand at the beach.
PETS Pets are allowed only with prior consent and conversation Please message me prior to booking to get clarification about pet options.
Please note that NO pets are allowed in the common areas of the resort including beach, grassy areas, wharf etc.
There are lake access areas and an abundance of walking trails within walking distance where you pet can run freely.
**there is a $200 replacement fee for lost pool/recreation building key
