The entire cottage is gorgeous cedar, inside and out with a new, fresh look, settled upon a nice level lot along the waters edge. This quiet lake offers a relaxing haven beckoning for fun all summer long. The waters are clean to swim, canoe or row an aluminum boat which are included for your use. There is fishing for bass, pickerel, and white perch on Duck Lake, part of the headwaters of a 30 mile long West Branch of the St. Croix River shed that includes landlocked salmon in adjoining Junior Lake. Enjoy picturesque views of Almanac, Getchell, and Bowers mountain ranges at the dock. Loons, waterfowl and wildlife abound, and at night there is the hoot of an owl and crisp, glistening skies along the campfire. Out front there is a wildflower field of butterflies, hummingbirds and flying acrobats. Should the nights get cold there is a large wood burning stove with plenty of wood on site. Leave the rat race behind, and let the healing begin! There is a deep well and pristine drinking water. Now featuring leaf peeper and hunter rates starting late September through Late October until the snow flies, the pipes freeze, and the tears turn to icicles! Phone reception iffy. and if you're looking to film moose or eagles on social media through the internet wifi fi, stick to the big apple. This special place is serene and void of modernization for a reason.

About the host
Hosted by tim and patty anderson
This property was finished by the owner and a few key experienced carpenters. This is my third cabin along the 45th parallel, where some of the finest "real" weather, and preserved natural beauty live. I posted our portrait, as when we trek north this allows us to go back to all that was once pure and virtuous. And for those naysayers, yes that's my wife, not my daughter!
Why they chose this property
Quiet, serene, beautiful, with occasional viewings of eagles, whereas loons are common place, there is a wild flower field in front with lots of butterfly and hummingbird activity, plenty of natures entertainment provided, and mosquitos are no extra charge. Gaze at the occasional Ravens squawk, hares, partridge, red squirrels darting, robins, chickadees and blue jays.
What makes this property unique
Show me another cabin made of 100% cedar and I'll eat your sombrero! Clean pure waters, scenic views of three mountain ranges, plenty of waterfowl, an occasional eagle sighting, resident loons, and owls hooting at night. 200 ft. waterfront means plenty of privacy, use of 13 foot aluminum boat or canoe.
