We loved our stay at the Iris House! It had everything we needed and was walking distance to the beautiful downtown area, as well as our family that we were in town visiting. Thank you for your space, and we hope to be back soon!
A grab bar in the bathtub/shower would make it much easier to get in & out. We also had trouble finding the silverware in the kitchen - finally found all of it in the dishwasher! A nice place but better suited for younger folks!

Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities, communication
Decor was magical, amenities bountiful, host was easily accessible and quick to respond
One small negative: Front porch entry could use cleaning along with fresh paint & mow yard for a better initial mpression.

Disliked: Check-in, communication, location
Host lacked communication and property on busy street. Cute decor and I like that you don’t have to clean prior to departure , but I made sure it was cleaned for the most part.
What a unique and beautiful little home the purple iris house is. We absolutely loved our stay here. The check in process was simple and the property managers were very easy to communicate with, and even went above and beyond to make our stay extra enjoyable. The house is stocked with literally everything someone would need on vacation and the property is located right in downtown Greeneville. We will definitely be staying next time we visit town!
I have gone back and forth whether or not to post a review about the Iris House because I have only posted positive reviews for any VRBO host…until now. After much consideration, I decided I wouldn’t have rented this house had I read a review like this. I hope this review is helpful to anyone considering booking the Iris House. We couldn’t get in the house with the code. Host sent a new code but couldn’t describe herself how to work the keypad. It’s a sketchy neighborhood. Exterior is dirty. When we brought our luggage in, all the blinds were down, and the curtains were closed. I later realized why. The bathroom was filthy—hair in sink, on toilet seat, & shower. Urine was all over toilet and floor. Dried toothpaste on hand towel. Sent message to host who asked for pictures. I sent them promptly but never heard back from her. No hot water in the shower. There were holes in the bathroom walls, loose toilet seat, wobbly kitchen stools, dishwasher not secure in between counters, broken microwave, dirty dishes in drawer and cupboards, pet hair on pillows, bedding, and furniture. My allergies were awful! Found mouse droppings in the kitchen. Host requested wearing no shoes in the house, but the floors and carpet were dirty. We had brought slippers that we wore. Before leaving, I put bedding by the washer, ran dishwasher, took out trash, and washed/dried the towels/washcloths and folded/put them away regardless of how the house was when we checked in because that’s how I was raised.
