About this property

Secluded location in quiet neighborhood 2 miles from the brand new amphitheater.

I don’t know if people actually read this, but after 3 years of doing this I am going to put the most concise honest description I can. My house is older with a remodeled interior and a revamped man cave in downtown Birmingham, 8 minutes from the brand new amphitheater. If you have not stayed in downtown Birmingham, you need to know that you will drive by unsavory areas. However, my neighborhood is safe and has a sweet old lady to your left and a family of 4 to your right. Please do not book my house if you are a scammer who wants to try to get a free place to stay. After 3 years, I’ve dealt with it all, and no refund will be given as I take pictures of the house after I clean it. We strive for 5 star service every time. Please let us know how we can improve if we didn’t achieve that. Hope to host you soon!!

The host was very responsive and offered several great places to eat at. We chose Jack Browns and it did not disappointed. Very little TV’s available in the house, One heater made noises all night, did see a roach crawling up from behind the toilet which is sometimes not in our control) the sheets and even the extra sheets smelled sour, and all the pillows were very soft. However, this place was very local and close by for what we needed and served its purpose for the evening.

We did not stay overnight. We booked this home for one night in Birmingham and were extremely disappointed, ultimately driving four hours back home in the middle of the night. The property was not fit for anyone, especially a family with four kids.First issue: we never received check-in instructions and had to contact the host just hours before arrival for the code. Upon arrival, the front door was clearly damaged from prior break-ins and would not fully close, leaving a visible gap. Inside, there was a strong cigarette odor, and the home looked nothing like the listing photos.The condition was unacceptable: flooring pieces were taped down, a large ceiling hole was covered with cardboard, and the kitchen counters were dirty with food residue. Curtains and towels had stains, floors were broken or peeling, and one couch was ripped with a large wet spot. Much of the home had loose artificial grass flooring that caused multiple trips.We briefly stayed to change and left. After our event, we considered staying since we had already paid, but our children were scared and begged not to remain.The host mentioned prior renters had thrown a party, but that did not excuse the condition. This was a complete waste of money and the worst rental experience we’ve had.
