This place was perfect! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. It’s a short drive to town. The hosts were amazing! We stayed 2 nights here in the fall while going to a Notre Dame game. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long cold rainy day. I would definitely recommend this place to Anyone and would stay here again.
The rental is a cute Travel Trailer set up in a quiet wooded spot with its own fire ring, picnic area with table and nice recliner chairs. There is a walking path through the trees for a nice stroll in nature. The owners have everything you need to enjoy your stay. They are very nice and accommodating. They also have wonderful baked goods you can order through their own cottage bakery. We can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay!
This host has a super comfortable and accommodating set up. No detail was left to spare with the outdoor amenities. Comfortable lounging, items for a fire in the provided fire pit, plenty for the kids to enjoy, nicely groomed walking trails, and a comfortable camper with all needed amenities. We had a great week staying here. My family will enjoy these memories for a very long time. Thanks for hosting us!

Photos were not as described. No seclusion no privacy, under walnut trees which bombarded the RV all night with very to little sleep. It’s in their driveway the hot tub is on the deck of their house. They explained but honestly if I would have been made aware I would have booked somewhere else. Felt mislead and for 500.00 I could have went anywhere. I was hit with. Walnut and it broke the skin. Nice people just very very misleading.

When my husband and I started thIs venture in hosting we discussed we would ultimately have guests along the way we would not be aBle to please. We agreed we would always put our best forward, fix what we could control and never let it get us down. WE took pride in meticulously picturing and explaining what we have to offer here on our property. The app onLy allows 15 pictures so we added the video to Fully disclose the surroundings you can expect when booking. We encourage everyone to watch the video who may have any questioNs after viewing the pIctures. Or just submit an inquiry and we will be happy to Explain our set up. As shown and stated we are surrounded by trees and yes hickory and walnuts are droppng this time of year. In the 7 years of waLking trails daily I have never been hit. I apologIze for the Inconvience the nuts caused. However, we cant take reSponsibility for nuts falling from trees any more than we can for Rain or the weather. I was also a bit confused by the fact that your wIfe left Us a very gracious revIew in our guest book. While our exchanges were only concerning your unhappiness. Once again I wish you the best going forward and I hope you found something you enjoyed about your stay wIth us. LastLy, Our Highest weekend NightlyFee is $175 per night so im not sure where the $500 amount came into play ? God Bless you Both!

We have always enjoyed camping and taking road trips together. We love the outdoors and caring for the extensive landscaping on our property. We enjoy motorcycle and ATV rides. We delight in the open road and viewing the unobstructed countryside. We both enjoy shopping the Facebook marketplace and finding great deals that need a little refacing. I enjoy baking and am dabbling with a small on site bakery Ive named, the Cabin Confectionery. Featuring a variety of specialty cookies , pies, quiche and scones . If you have a sweet tooth or a hankering for a treat, place your order and I can have it waiting for your arrival. (Extra cost applies) While we both look forward to retirement, that is still a few years away. We would be honored to have you pick our unique space for your weekend getaway or family vacation.
Why they chose this property
After we both previously lived in subdivisions all our lives, we really wanted a property that offered some seclusion and wooded space to explore . When we came across this property, we were thrilled that it met both of our criteria in a dream home.
After some extensive renovations and landscaping, we’ve come up with a beautiful property we are very proud of and anxious to share. If you are looking for a unique outdoor experience, that is still very civilized and comfortable, we hope you select us and land your dream vacation here.
What makes this property unique
We spent a great deal of time prepping and preening a very primitive area on our property and turning it into a secluded and private haven/campsite to share with family and friends. Full hook up to fresh water and septic for flush toilets and shower. This includes a play area for the kids, including a swing, climber and slide. Also, a cute crabby sandbox with toys included. We hope you decide to choose our special spot as your next destination for a wonderful for a camping experience.
Another wonderful option that makes our property unique is we offer a selection of made to order baked items and breakfast options you can preorder for your stay. From fresh baked sweet rolls, and xlarge muffins to a frittata or a quiche. We offer breakfast items as well as homemade bread, cookies and cupcakes. After you have booked your stay with us just drop me a message requesting our menu including time and day you would like the breakfast or baked items. whether it is a special celebration such as a birthday, anniversary or just because someone else is doing the cooking !! I offer a menu I can send of our amazing options. Although I did not grow up Amish, I learned my cooking and baking skills from both of my Pennsylvania Dutch and Mennonite grandmothers. So I take pride in the confections we offer. I hope you’ll give us a try both with trusting your stay here at Hales Hidaway AND by ordering a special breakfast or treat for your vacation, whether its a celebration or just because!!
