The Space:
The Wild Rose – A Cozy PEC Rental in Picton
The Wild Rose is inspired by the hygge lifestyle, designed for comfort, charm, and simplicity. This quaint, self-contained unit offers a peaceful and relaxing retreat, perfect for couples or small groups looking to explore Prince Edward County.
Comfortable Living Space:
Inside, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The spacious living room is ideal for unwinding after a day of adventure. The airy bathroom features a beautiful zellige-tiled rain shower, adding a touch of luxury to your stay.
A Simple Yet Functional Kitchenette:
Upstairs, you’ll find a small kitchenette, perfect for preparing simple meals. It includes a 2-burner stovetop (no oven), a microwave, mini fridge, and banquette seating. While it’s not a chef’s kitchen, it’s great for those who plan to explore the amazing dining options in The County. Be sure to make reservations early, as tables fill up fast!
Outdoor Relaxation and Dining:
Step outside onto the large, covered porch and enjoy access to a lush garden and quiet backyard. In the backyard, you'll find a vine-covered pergola with a picnic bench underneath. Relax by the fire table surrounded by Muskoka chairs on the patio, or fire up the BBQ for a casual meal. However, we recommend you eat out often and experience PEC's farm-to-table cuisine, boutique wineries, and craft breweries.
Perfect Location in Picton:
The Wild Rose is just a short walk from Picton Main Street, home to some of our favorite local spots. Explore unique shops, cafes, and restaurants like Bocado, Onesta, Early Grey flowers, Savon Du Bois, The Ye11ow Studio, The Vic Social, and more. Whether you're looking to shop, dine, or enjoy a local brew, everything is within walking distance.
Guest Access:
The Wild Rose is one of two self-contained units within the house. There is another rental unit located directly next to the Wild Rose however you will have your entire unit to yourself, as well as a private entrance. The only shared space is the driveway.
Other Things to Note:
- One of the bedrooms has a quirky doorframe, which isn't standard in size/shape (it is an 1800s farmhouse after all). For this reason, there is a privacy curtain to enter the room, instead of a door.
- Please note that this is one of two self-contained suites in the house, with a private entry. The only shared space is the driveway.
- We have done our best to soundproof the interior of the home but sometimes noise can travel between the walls, therefore no parties, please.
