Escape to a cozy cabin in Frog Pond NC for a pleasant retreat. This 3-bedroom cabin offers a variety of sleeping arrangements, including a bunk bed (twin over a full bed), queen bed, and king bed. With amenities like a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, iron and ironing board, electric fireplace, outside fire pit, gas grill and WiFi, where guests can relax and unwind. The 2 bathrooms feature showers and hair dryers for added convenience. Enjoy Big Bear Creek for swimming, fishing, or even panning for gold when you stay at our place. Nearby attractions include Stanly County Livestock Arena, Morrow Mountain State Park, Lake Tillery, Reeds Gold Mine, Uwharrie National Forest, and several local wineries. The house was so comfortable and the hosts thought of so many sweet touches that they added that made our stay really special. The house was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our visit. Communication was really great, checking was really simple, checkout was a breeze...I wish all of the house rentals we've had were as wonderful as this was.

Photos can not capture the beautiful setting and the attention to details that encompass this lovely place. The house and the outdoor spaces exceeded our expectations. So very peaceful and God’s presence could be felt everywhere! We are so very thankful that we found this gem and one of a kind space. We will definitely return!! Thank you for such a wonderful stay !

The most adorable cabin, so well kept, so nice for a getaway with friends. Loved using the grill and firepit. The creek was a great spot to hangout during the day. It's super private and isolated in the vineyard/woods, but plenty close enough to some towns and grocery stores to get whatever you need. Perfect for our Labor Day Weekend while we were in town for a wedding in Oakboro!

We can not say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Our daughter was married at a local venue over the weekend and we stayed at The Vineyard cabin. The communication with host was impeccable. Even offering me their vehicle when I had issues with mine. The rental is clean, well stocked, with comfy beds. A beautiful fireplace in a spacious den with lovely windows in every room. Washer and dryer in master bath. Loved it!! Exactly what we needed.

Amazing get away , my and my husband spent Valentine’s Day there and it was perfect ! We love to fish and be outside and it was more than enough to do here. We specifically enjoyed burning wood outside and sitting enjoying the scenery. 10/10

We are Andy and BJ Barbee. After retiring, we chose to move back to Stanly County to invest in the next generation—and that mission is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Vrbo property is part of a larger vision called The Vineyard at Big Bear Creek, LLC, a 33-acre property that includes a managed tree farm, a muscadine grape vineyard, and plans for a future events and wedding venue.

More than just a beautiful getaway, this place is rooted in purpose. Our mission is simple yet powerful:

“Helping kids and young adults realize that it CAN be done!

Basic Steps: Curiosity to Question, Courage to Learn, and Confidence to Achieve.”


Once complete, our events venue will host a variety of youth-focused programs such as:

Summer Drama Camp – promoting teamwork and public speaking
Academic Tutoring – supporting excellence in education
Ask the Pros – seminars led by local tradespeople
Basic Financial Acumen – teaching the foundations of smart money habits

Through these programs, we hope to provide the building blocks for young people to lead confident, capable, and meaningful lives.
