Communication with Stephanie was great and she was quick to respond. She was very accommodating when we requested early check in. The unit was modern and clean.My only suggestion would be to improve beds and bedding forfruture guests. Otherwise good accommodations We ovght.did not cook.

The place is very spacious and clean. There are 13 stairs outside down to the apartment. I personally think it’s great for short term. The kitchen does need more amenities for long term as well as the bathroom. Washer and dryer very nice. TV is very limited. So we watched Netflix the whole stay. Stephanie was very pleasant and communicated well. Thank you

Very happy with our stay very clean, tidy.Met our needs .Quiet area.Close to shops ,amenities etc.Would book again.Could have a few extra items in kitchen for cooking but we managed.A couple of maintenance things occurred host notified.Great to have laundry facilities for a long stay.Path at side of house was blocked and uneven but was lit at night.Great price.Thank you

Our stay at “The Simple Escape” was outstanding… the location was incredibly convenient and the physical space was superb. The description matches exactly the reality. We truly appreciated the level of communication from start to finish… we would highly recommend this stay and look forward to staying here again.

We stayed two nights. After traveling all over the USA and Ontario in VRBO this is the first one that did NOT offer coffee, There is a coffee machine on counter, I asked about where the coffee was, I was given a map of the nearest Tim Hortons by the host.We had trouble with the induction plates, Only one worked, the host just sent us instructions on how to work them. If you are planning on cooking breakfast here there is only one five inch frying pan the kitchen is scantily stocked for meal preparation or dishes/ glasses. No toaster, dishwasher no puckslight hanging from ceiling of bathroom and one of the bedroom doors had a hole in it just below door handle. Would not come back

We had a 7 hour drive and had not seen the arrival instructions until we arrived at the address. After parking in the driveway I saw "please do not park in the driveway so the kids can play" which had us confused. We parked in the street per instructions, then followed the sidewalk around the house and down a slop to the basement area where we entered the home. On the sidewalk were two trash bins so we had to step off the sidewalk and pull our luggage through the grass to get around the bins. After entering the home, we quickly realized we did not rent the home, only a refinished basement turned into a small apartment. Everything was clean and presentable inside however the two bedroom doors and bathroom doors did not close well, hole in the back of one door, bathroom light dangling out of ceiling, and a band-aid stuck to the ceiling of the shower out of reach. Kitchen sink did not have running water. We returned from dinner at 10:30pm to find two German Shepards chained to the front porch barking and neighbor outside complaining. Dogs barked until almost midnight. Laying in bed I could hear banging and noises, sliding chairs, and TV above us. Same in the mornings. Shower door frame was loose and not installed correctly. Shower door handles were lose and ready to fall off.Night 2 & 3 I had to remove spiders from the bedroom over my head. And each night and morning we had to listen to the noise above us.Home listing was misleading thinking we rented a home.

It’s a comfortable, clean space love the ambiance. However getting to the entrance and operating the lock is problematic in the evening for late checking in. The pavers-walkway are not well laid which could result in a fall and the outside walkway to the entrance is not not well lit. Stephanie is a good hostess. I enjoyed being there. I will stay there in my future visit to the area.

Me and my partner stayed here for just under 3 weeks. I found the place lovely and comfortable for what we needed. The place was clean and everything easy to use. Only issue I would say is to have a bigger frying pan for cooking or a 2nd one. The host Stephanie I felt was brilliant she checked in with us to see if there was anything she could do to help. The location is quiet with fantastic running/walking trails but is also not far from the shops and restaurants. I would recommended this place for a quiet stay where you can use it as a hub to travel around.

A Simple Escape was exactly that- a no fuss haven that was economical and comfortable. Stephanie was super responsive to our queries. The unit was so clean and comfy. The kitchen was fine for us getting a quick breakfast, and the bathroom had everything we needed. I highly recommend Stephanie as a host and A Simple Escape for your next stay in Kitchener!
