The house was clean. The property was relatively quiet and it wasn’t far to get to places. I enjoyed the local information the host provided, we were able to try new food and explore nearby areas. The host was quick to respond and very nice. We were happy it was pet friendly. We enjoyed our stay!
Quaint older farmhouse in a great location for our dog show. We were very comfortable there, felt very much like home. The dogs loved all the outdoor space. Enjoyed our stay.

We were not impressed with this house. The smell hit us as soon as we walked in. They had a couple of glade plug ins, but they were out of liquid. The living room furniture smelled horrendous. We could barely stand to even sit in there, the smell was so bad You could tell the furniture and the living room itself, had not been cleaned in awhile. We went out and bought our own febreeze plug ins to help with the smell while we were there, but did not overpower the musty/unclean smell. Also the portable A/C unit downstairs did not run continuously. It originaly didn't work in the outlet it was plugged into. We moved it to a different outlet and it kept shutting off. After we figured out what the problem was, we had to consistently drain the water basin every hour just for it to continue to keep running. We had to eventually rig up something of our own just to keep it running continuously, to keep it cool downstairs. We were there for a wedding and wouldn't be there all day. Keep in mind we had our dog with us, so we had to make sure it was cool enough for him while we weren't there. When we first got there and the portable A/C unit wasn't working, we messaged the owners, and they responded quickly and said they would run over to take a look. That was awesome! They told us the A/C was "fixed", but definitely was not. This house definitely needs better A/C options, or better communication on what needs done to the A/C unit there currently.
This is a beautiful old farmhouse on a beautiful property ( so know that it is old with old features) , but I want to add some notes that I wish we had known. 1.The stairs to get to 2 of the bedrooms are on a very steep incline and are hard to climb and come down.( definitely not good for older individuals or those with bad knees) 2. The water is on a well and has a very strong sulfer smell that fills the whole house when it is used. 3. The other rental is directly beside the farmhouse and has a shared outdoor area and parking. 4.It is located directly off of the road and so there is road noise. 5. Upon our arrival the restroom was very dirty ( hairs on bath, sink, and toilet, and feces on the floor by the toilet) and we were not offered any money back from the cleaning fee. ... I will say that the owner is very responsive and seems nice. The deck is quite large and nice to sit and enjoy the view of the backyard. The couch is very cozy in the living room.

Beds were clean and house was spacious, quiet, and pet friendly. However there were a few concerns. The stairs to go upstairs were very very steep, it would have been impossible with young kids, older adults or those with mobility issues to get up or down. The upstairs had “two combined bedrooms” so no door between the “master bedroom” and trundle bed. So another words no privacy. Only 1 burner on the gas grill worked, many of the kitchen dishes were chipped, bath towels were musty, mouse droppings in cupboards and traps in ever room of the house (old farm house I know but still gross) and outside firepit, yard, and deck looked abandoned and overgrown for years. Kids had no desire to play outside and we didn’t want to sit out there either.
