Troy was such a wonderful host—he was warm, responsive, and incredibly communicative throughout our stay, making us feel welcomed and taken care of from start to finish!
The house was lovely -- lots of great indoor and outdoor space perfect for our group's getaway weekend. Hose was very communicative. House had everything we needed. Loved the open kitchen, dining and living room space. We enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast on the covered part of the deck and evenings in the hot tub. It rained the entire weekend so we weren't able to take advantage of the uncovered parts of the deck but would have loved to sit out there in the evenings. Would highly recommend and stay there again!
Nice home. We used the home as a central hub with friends who were staying nearby to go out on our adventures. Troy was very pleasant and responsive. Belties in Nellysford was a hit for breakfast.
We were a group of 6 and each of us had our own bedroom, which was a bonus. We used the jacuzzi, grill, and sat on both decks. The house was clean and organized. Everything was just as it was stated in the description. Our only complaint, which really wasn't an issue because we enjoyed the cool night air, would be not being able to lite the fire pit. Other than that everything was perfect and the house is absolutely beautiful.
Our family had a wonderful time during our stay at Chestnut Springs. The home is beautiful and nestled in the hills. There was plenty of room for six adults and five kids ages eight to sixteen. The hot tub was a big hit as was the comfortable furnishings and the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware and dinnerware. Our host was very pleasant and quick to respond via email to my questions. We all enjoyed nearby Lake Monocan located at the Stoney Creek area of Wintergreen. We also enjoyed the two breweries/restaurants in nearby Nellyville.A great time was had by all!
It was a beautiful home. Very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances and pans, etc. Was very convenient for skiing at the mountain. Beautiful views. Would stay again!
We had a great experience! The host was extremely responsive and the house was amazing. We loved the hot tub, the views and that the house had everything we needed plus more. We even had an issue on my end that we had to very last minute add a pet that they were understanding about. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
We had a fantastic time. The house was amazing. Everything you need and so spacious. The beds were very comfortable.id love to know the brand and type of the beds. Would definitely come back.
House is wonderful for a large group. Fabulous great room with fireplace a game room for kids. Well stocked kitchen including coffee, spices, utensils and cooking utensils. Fabulous hot tub, decks. Could be used year round. Does have a steep driveway.
Loved this for a Girls' weekend in the Fall. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is we did have an issue with the hot tub. We booked it for that reason and checked prior to arriving that it was working and would be ready. We were told it was and it was....not. Whomever checked didn't look closely and it was in sleep mode and took several hours to warm up. Pretty darn frustrating when you're staying only two nights and it was unuseable for the first. Also, it's a beautiful space will a well stocked kitchen and comfy furniture overall. However, bring an allen wrench in your first aid kit if using the bunk beds because they were ALL LOOSE and in serious need of tightening and without anytime someone moves, the other person feels it and hears the squeaks. There are NO full length mirrors--none in closets or bedrooms-- and with only three bathrooms and 6 bedrooms with 9 people-- you need more. Also, the bathtubs do not have anti-slip mats and are incredibly slippery. If you have little ones or unstable adults, recommend bringing one yourself. Two hairdryers were also missing the safety backs and suck in hair. It's a beautiful location and overall comfortable space but needs some quality checks and a few adjustments for large groups. That being said, we would 1000% stay here again but bring all of the above items.
House was beautiful and spacious! Plenty of rooms and main lifting room was gorgeous. The bedrooms did not have any king size beds which might have been a problem but since there were so many rooms we just spread out more. We stayed in the late summer and there were countless beautiful hikes nearby and plenty of activities for kids.
Overall great experience. We did take down one smoke detector in down stairs bedroom due to beeping and I did not know where any batteries were. Other than that, everything was great!
We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cabin-style home in the woods! It was the perfect setting for our reading retreat and gave us plenty of space to relax, unwind, and spend time together. The living room was so cozy and perfect for curling up on the couch with a good book. The kitchen was fantastic and had everything we needed to make meals during our stay. We especially loved the large farmhouse-style table - it was perfect for puzzles, games, and gathering together. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were bigger than expected. The home was beautiful and welcoming, and the entire space was thoughtfully laid out for a relaxing getaway. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to come back!
The cabin was a perfect place to stay. Clean, roomy, and had all of the amenities. Troy was an excellent host and very responsive. We would absolutely come back to stay here.
