We take great pride in our luxury waterfront home, and cleanliness and proper maintenance are always top priorities. The home is professionally cleaned and inspected before every arrival. The guest did not report any cleanliness or cookware concerns at any time during her stay, despite having an open line of communication with us. Had anything been reported, we would have immediately sent our cleaning or maintenance team to address it. She did not provide a single message or photograph supporting these claims, and no replacement pan was found at the property after checkout. Our cookware is regularly inspected and replaced whenever necessary. Shortly after booking, the guest asked us to lower the price. We politely explained that the reservation already reflected our best available rate, and she chose to continue with the stay under the agreed terms. Only after we declined her discount request and the stay was completed did these previously unreported and undocumented allegations appear in her review. The timing, together with the complete lack of supporting communication or evidence, strongly suggests that her disappointment over the declined discount influenced this review. Because none of these alleged issues was reported during the stay, we had no opportunity to inspect or address them. We stand firmly behind the cleanliness, maintenance, and quality of our home. Unfortunately, this guest also left the house in a particularly dirty condition requiring additional attention

Thank you for your stay. Our home was custom-built and completed in 2012, so the characterization as “dated” is inaccurate. Additionally, no specific areas of cleanliness were cited, nor were any photos provided. We would have been happy to address any concerns immediately by sending our cleaner back. Regarding our house rules: like all short-term rentals, ours are clearly posted and designed to ensure guest safety and maintain harmony with neighbors and the community. It is also important to clarify that this guest did not fully adhere to our policies. Although we graciously accommodated an early check-in request, the guest arrived even earlier than agreed. They also departed after the scheduled check-out time, claiming they were waiting for an Uber; however, their car was still parked in our driveway, requiring our cleaners to wait outside before beginning preparations for the next guests. Respecting check-in and check-out times is essential for the smooth operation of our home and the comfort of all guests. We welcome all guests who respect our rules and communicate clearly.
