About this property

Traditional Provencal farmhouse with pool set among vines and olives

A carefully restored mazet (traditional farmhouse) on a private track outside the small village of Blauvac. The interior mixes the traditional with contemporary furnishings. The living room has a sofa and 2 armchairs with an open fireplace & the spacious dining room (with wood-burner for winter days) offers flexible accommodation. The kitchen is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, oven and 2 fridges. A shower and WC lead off kitchen.

There are 4 double bedrooms, two with single beds and two with doubles. Each room has lovely views and they are comfortably but simply furnished. The master bedroom on the first floor has an en suite bath and WC. There is a further shower, WC and two bedrooms on the second floor.

Outside there are terraced areas for al fresco eating, as well as a barbecue, dining table and chairs and parasols. The fabulous pool (11 x 5m) which is oxygen cleansed has deck chairs & sun loungers from which to enjoy the panoramic views. There is a shaded area under the cypress trees for parking.

Rustic mazet with stunning views

We stayed here for 2 weeks in July 2017, our 4th consecutive summer villa rental in this region. We've stayed at some luxurious, magnificent villas previously but this was our favourite due to the simplicity of the lifestyle and the incredible almost 360 views. The pool area is great, a good sized oxygen cleansed pool built on a large raised terrace and views of Ventoux and the village. The outside space is what makes this place so special and most evenings you can't beat the al-fresco dining watching the sunset. The mazet itself is rustic and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. It's smaller than other places we've stayed but even when 6 of us were there was plenty of room. There are 4 good sized bedrooms all with lovely views, the best from the room with the top floor balcony. Blauvac itself is a 3 minute drive or a 20 minute walk, there's a nice friendly bistrot and a small friendly Saturday evening market. A lovely well kept village, but the nearest Boulanger and supermarkets are in the next village just a short drive away. If staying here as a base for cycling it's the perfect location. Bedoin is an easy 30 minute ride away for anyone looking to ride Ventoux and the Gorges de la Nesque is even closer and can be ridden as part of doing Ventoux from Sault. And there are numerous other rides within range over in the Luberon. The owner is very helpful and always replies to emails almost immediately. Loved our stay here and would love to return some time, highly recommended.

Weekje ontspannen met de kids

Prachtig huisje met zicht op Mt Ventoux en Blauvac. Goed uitgerust en onderhouden, mooi zwembad en zeer rustig gelegen. Ideaal om van hieruit de regio te verkennen.

Superschöne Familienwohnung mit Ventoux Blick

Wir haben einen echten Traumurlaub mit 7 Personen im Haus in Blauvac verbracht. Das Haus hat einen sehr schönen Pool mit Blick auf den Mt. Ventoux und das schöne Dorf Blauvac, zwei Terrassen für Frühstück und Abendessen und schöne Zimmer, alle mit schönem Blick, eines mit Balkon. Touren mit dem Rennrad in allen Himmelsrichtungen waren super schön, der Mt. Ventoux natürlich der sportliche Höhepunkt. Danke an Sarah für die gute Betreuung!

Charme de l'ancien avec vues magnifiques

Magnifiques vacances passées dans cette location correspondant parfaitement aux descriptions et photos. Maison isolée et au calme avec une grande piscine...l'idéal pour un séjour en toute tranquillité. Très belles vues sur le Mont Ventoux et le village de Blauvac. Lovely well equipped property in a stunning location.

Eight of us stayed in this beautiful house.We found it well equipped and very clean.We had fantastic weather so the pool was very welcome and well used by us all.The villa is well placed to visit many towns and villages and in the middle of some fantastic cycle routes including Mount Ventoux and gorge de nesque ,D942 maybe the best cycling road in France.Enjoyed visiting local vineyards and restaurants.

We have been travelling in Provence since more than 20 years and this is our second home. We love riding bikes, We love the culture and the atmosphere of this land. We have many good friends here and we love to discovers new places in the area, which we still do after all this time.

What makes this property unique

This is a real "coup de coeur". There is no other place like this! You will be surrounded by nature, absolutely no noise, no direct surrounding neighbourhood, However close enough to all facilities (by car or bike). You will have a terrific view on the Mt. Ventoux and surroundings. The house is an old authenic mas from the 19th century, Decorated which much love and taste. You will be delighted.
