The ultimate basecamp for outdoor enthusiasts ready to explore the Colorado Rockies. complete with air conditioning, which is rare in Estes Park. Located on quiet Sketch Box Lane on the eastern edge of the Estes Valley, it's perfectly positioned between wilderness and town.
This room features everything an adventurer needs: a comfortable king bed for recovery sleep, kitchenette with mini fridge and coffee maker for fueling up before dawn starts, and a cozy electric fireplace for warming up after mountain days.
The bathroom has a nice walk-in shower with rain shower head and a heated rack for drying towels and wet gear.
The shared but dedicated workspace provides a quiet spot for trip planning or catching up on emails.
After hiking 14ers or exploring hidden alpine lakes, return to serious recovery amenities. Soak those tired muscles in the shared hot tub (10 AM-9 PM), or use the outdoor dining area with stunning Estes valley views for a well-earned meal.
The Lodge sits in the quiet Solitude Cabins community where elk and deer frequently roam. A paved path takes you to Lake Estes in about 7 minutes for fishing or peaceful walks.
Rocky Mountain National Park's Fall River entrance is just 10 minutes away, while downtown Estes Park's gear shops and trail intel are 5 minutes down the road.

The Solitude Lodge is a quiet neighborhood of vacation cabins near Lake Estes, just a few minutes from downtown Estes Park. This is a peaceful, family-friendly resort community. It encompasses 45 standalone cabins, a main lodge with 7 hotel-style rooms, and a meeting space/gathering area. The grounds cover 9 acres and back up to wild forest to the east, so wildlife frequent the neihgborhood. Lake Estes has a great walking path around it and is about a 5-10 minute walk from the property. Solitude is only a few minutes by car to downtown Estes Park.
You will need a car to really enjoy your time in Estes Park, though the town's free summer shuttle does have a stop in the Solitude neighborhood. That shuttle runs from July to September and will take you to downtown, and from there you can take other shuttles around the Estes Valley.
NO SMOKING, NO FIRES
This building was a few miles away from one of the largest forest fires in Colorado history a few years ago. This is now a strict no-smoking property. No smoking inside, outside, and no outdoor fire pits. Charcoal BBQs are banned.
ROAD CONDITIONS
Estes has a great plow team and our parking area will also be plowed during storms, but if there's a huge blizzard, they may not be plowed exactly when you need them to be. We cannot assist if you get stuck and we always recommend that people rent AWD or 4WD when visiting us from October to May. We are at 8,000 feet and this can be a snowy area!
