Perfect group getaway

The house was perfect to host a 40th birthday celebration with 20 adults (no kids this time, but there certainly was room). It is well stocked, everything was clean and the bedrooms were well positioned throughout the house. So much room to spread out, entertain and enjoy the area. Ned is such a great owner to work with, we will definitely be renting again!

Perfect property for groups

We had a fabulous time at the 10 Locust Ln. property this past weekend. Our three generational family loved everything about the house from the large dining room table where everyone could gather to the various living spaces where smaller groups could relax while playing games or reading. We have great cooks in our family who really enjoyed having double appliances in the kitchen for storing, preparing and cooking food. The house was immaculately clean and they were more than enough bedrooms for our group of 24. The consensus was that this is the perfect place for our family reunions.

Great Experience

We had a great experience. The property is easy to get to (with PLENTY of parking), clean, and as advertised . The bedrooms were all good size with comfortable beds. (There were hand soaps in all the rooms, but be sure to remember any shampoo and body wash for showers as those were not provided). The common areas are big with plenty of gathering space and TVs everywhere. The large family table was perfect for our group of 20 (it could easily fit 24 comfortably) and ideal for a fun "family" dinner. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a space for a large gathering of friends or family.

Our big fat friends and family vacation

We had the best time at this beautiful and clean huge North Conway house. We were a large group of friends and family celebrating a milestone birthday. Everyone was happy with the accommodations in this well equipped house, with ample linens, kitchenware and bar ware. The only improvement that needs to be made is that there was not enough hot water. Considering this is a very cold part of the country and such a huge house with 9 bathrooms, less than half the people had hot water for showers. Otherwise I would highly recommend this home!!

Great for large family gathering

This house had lots of comfortable bedrooms, bathrooms and public spaces for my large family to gather for a long weekend. It was convenient to lots of amenities in the area. Our host was very responsive and we had a great time. I have a few suggestions: one is to get bear bins. A bear came by early in the morning and scattered trash from several of the properties. This could be avoided by having a closed receptacle for the trash. The other suggestion is to include bath mats, hand towels and body wash for the bathrooms.

85th Birthday celebration

The house was great for our purpose. My one complaint was that because the house is located on a hill, there are a couple of sets of steps to climb to have access to the entry, and there are no hand rails. At age 85 with a bad knee, I found this difficult to maneuver. The house is definitely not handicapped accessible to enter. Since this is not pictured, it should be reflected in the description. Shared Home and Amenities, Great Location

Pros: A lot of individual bedrooms, which is great for groups where guests want their own space. Large dining area for a big group made gathering around a table together easy. Location is great. Very very clean home, with all of the cooking needs stocked. Cons: The listing does not disclose that this is a SHARED property, with shared amenities (green space, and the pool). Our guests arrived and walked straight into someone's apartment thinking that the entire building was rented to us. The listing mentioned a tv in every room, and this was not the case. Wifi was not great for a property that is supposed to be hosting ~30 people. It went in and out pretty regularly throughout our stay, which wasn't ideal because we were on a company retreat. Hot tub was about a 4 person capacity, which is fairly small for a building that is supposed to be hosting ~30 people. Not a ton of shared common space for gathering. The dining area was great. The kitchen was a very tight galley kitchen, and while it had two stoves and two refrigerators, it was hard to have multiple people grabbing coffee or cooking meals at the same time. The living room was not ideal for having more than 6 people. Upstairs was nice, but the space was really segregated and made hanging out as a group difficult. Overall: I think the individual rooms were a great fit, but the common areas didn't really meet our expectations. I think this could be a good fit for a number of couples to stay together, but it was difficult to gather all together, as a group of 18 people.

Great house for large party

Ample clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Ideal for hosting a bachelor party or similar event. Close to golf course and downtown restaurants. Host was attentive and responsive when needed. Definitely recommend this property!

Thanksgiving perfection

We maximized the home with our family event and could not have been happier. Everyone truly enjoyed the stay and were comfortable at the property. We had 30 guests of all ages and found everything we needed including the largest Thanksgiving table anyone could imagine. The host communcated well and I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a large home.

Our stay

The house was large. The owner came over within 15 to 20 min when we called and told him about the outdoor grill. He brought a new grill and installed it. Much appreciated. No wash clothes and face towels. Should have asked him. Unfair complain if I didn’t ask. Bedrooms were great. Gave everyone some time out if they needed it. Many had an ensuite. The last bedroom on the right before you reach the kitchen had a mattress that was short and those using said their pillow fell off the bed by the headboard. The husband was 6’2. Hard to push the mattress up w that height. Everyone else was good w their bed. Ours was great. Ned was personable and great. Thank you for replacing the grill as fast as you did. The area is great, everyone found things to do.

Great House in a perfect location

This was our 4th time staying in this house with a large group of friends to hike. The house is clean and comfortable for a group of our size and Ned was very accommodating with our early check in request and was a pleasure to meet. We will definitely be back!

Anniversary and Reunion

10 Locust Lane was ideal for our extended family of 27! There were plenty of bedrooms with one extra for a one-night stay by friends. There were three minor issues; We were told there were condiments in the refrigerator. Many were missing. The most noticeable were katsup and mustard. A better way to handle this is to either state that all condiments must be brought or provide an accurate list of what is there. 26 people generated a lot of trash. We were instructed to leave it outside the front door. Even though pick-up of the trash was frequent, squirrels and, possibly other animals, managed to tear open the bags and spread trash around. Possibly a covered container on the porch would both indicate where to put the trash and keep it from pests. Finally, the description of the property did not specifically state that the only practical access to the living spaces was up a series of steps a full story high. This was impractical for the one family member using a walker. None of the 3 issues made enjoyment of the property significantly any less. To a person, everyone has stated that they had a wonderful experience.
