This newly renovated 1910 century home is located just minutes from the heart of downtown in one of the most charming and quiet areas of Calgary. Walk, ride or train to any of Calgary's attractions easily from this centrally located cottage. The two bedrooms are well appointed luxurious spaces that can comfortably sleep 4. The bathroom has heated floors and a rain shower. The kitchen is a chefs dream with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge with ice maker for those happy hour drinks on the deck while watching the local commuters ride or walk home from work. Everything is new in this lovely home. The front yard is fenced and private with a great deck with BBQ and fire pit for entertaining or relaxing. Groceries, liquor, and baking are available from either local/organic shops or large chains only a block away. The bright living/dining area has large SMART TV, stereo, bar and dining for 6-8 people.

Our stay at the Urban Cottage was simply outstanding. The home is inviting, cozy and equipped with everything we needed. The property and yard are very attractive and in fact, was awarded a prize for the best Christmas decorations in the entire neighbourhood. The central location was walking distance to parks, playgrounds, restaurants and shopping. Our hosts were very friendly, responsive and accommodating. We look forward to staying at the Cottage again.

Perfect accommodation in quiet neighbourhood where we have family.

Great place

The cottage was great! I was in Calgary for a convention and the location just two blocks from the train made getting around very easy. The neighborhood was extra quiet and pleasant. The cottage was comfortable- especially the bed. It was very well equipped even though I never used anything but the Keurig machine. If I ever find myself back in Calgary I definitely would rebook.

Perfect Sunnyside Cottage

This cottage was absolutely perfect. So well appointed inside and the front porch and garden were wonderful to sit, relax and meet all the neighbourhood dogs. The location was ideal as so much was in walking distance and the neighbourhood is lovely. Great hists aswell.

The house and location were perfect. Comfortably furnished with great linens and bed. Lovely outdoor porch and so handy for the train which arrives every few minutes to go downtown and to the Stampede. Fantastic hosts and an awesome neighbourhood. We waited 20 years to purchase this home and turn it into the charming rental cottage we knew it could be. The transformation of this home has been very rewarding and we look forward to sharing this lovely home and our neighborhood with people from all over the world. We love to travel as well and have tried to make this a place what we would love to rent when visiting another city. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Why they chose this property

This property is on the same block as our home and needed some loving. We have lived here for 25 years and think this is the best neighborhood in Calgary. This property has been fully upgraded and without losing its old charm .
