This newly constructed home is one of a kind. Located down a private road on the tip of a peninsula, there are pristine water views from every window. Choose to watch the sunrise from the dock on one side and then dive into crystal clear water, or watch the sunset from the 'Martini Deck' on the other, relaxing in an Adirondack chair while the colors fade from orange to red to purple. Custom built with all modern conveniences, this house is both elegant and welcoming, with an expansive living room that includes a floor-to-ceiling fire place and a custom kitchen with lots of room. Except for the occasional fisherman or water-skier, you will never see another person if you choose not to, as the house is located on 29 private acres. Spend the afternoons swimming, lounging, fishing, boating or playing Bocci ball on the groomed lawn or walk down a shaded gravel road that leads to a sandy beach. Or... just sit and listen to the call of the loons, letting yourself drift away from the real world and back to a simpler time.

An excellent rental: the best we have rented! A beautiful and spacious home with everything you need for an enjoyable, restful stay. 5 great bedrooms which fit our needs for 11 people very well. Five of these were young children, ages 2 to 8, who had a wonderful time improving their swimming skills and trying their hands at kayaking.
4 bathrooms ensured their were no conflicts.
The house sits at the end of a peninsula secluded from other houses which made for quiet, restful stay.
The Martini deck was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy some soectacular sunsets.
We will definitely be back next year.
I cannot say enough. The property gave all 7 of us space to be together and have our "time alone". The "Martini deck" was the go to place for sunset drinks, photo shoots and quiet chats. So peaceful.
Oh the loons, some of the family had never heard one in real life; the bluejays came by everyday; and the osprey graced us with her presence on several days, sitting majestically in her nest.
The kayaks were used multiple times a day, from short excursions to long paddles around the lake. Loved how the other boaters were respectful of the swimmers and kayakers, and slowed down.
The large front lawn saw us playing bocce, ladder golf and croquet. In the great room we held nightly trivia, Jenga and Pictionary games.
The open concept of the great room and kitchen, with windows all around meant there was always good air flow and light.
Meal prep was fun as the open concept allowed everyone to keep chatting and helping.
Trips into Tamworth were easy and we found a wonderful local bookstore, where the bookworms in the family spent at least an hour and left us wanting to go back.
The road into the cottage became the running course for our family runner as he enjoyed daily runs up to the highway.
This place just had something for everyone. Thank you.
My family and I were looking for a place between Toronto and Montreal that can fit us all, and this cottage was exactly what we were looking for! Remote, lots of shoreline, sunny but with lots of shade, extremely well-stocked amenities and facilities. The owners have clearly put a lot of love and care into the place, and it shows. We'd be happy to stay here again in the future!
Our entire family does a cottage get-away each year to a different location and this was one of the best. Something for everyone - swimming, boating, wildlife viewing and ping-pong competitions in the evenings! The cottage is very accessible from urban centres but the lake is quiet and feels a lot more remote than it is. Donna was a great host and communication was easy. We are planning a return trip!
The only downside was no a/c for the hottest week of the year, but the many fans made temperatures very bearable.
Lovely week. Property is everything it said it was and more. The location is stunning and private. Lake is very clean. House is very well-equipped. Unfortunately previous guests hadn't read their instructions so we had to get drinking water and gas tanks refilled on our first day but otherwise very smooth. We did have an extremely hot and humid week and did find the bedrooms quite warm for sleeping, so the fans were definitely required! We also had an unplanned trip to the local hospital but happy to say they were excellent!! A few people in boats slowed down to check out the eagle nest on the property as it seemed to be the local attraction- but they've flown the nest now. Would definitely recommend this place!
It has been a long year and we needed to find a place to unwind and relax for the week. This spacious house fit the bill. It is situated on the tip of the peninsula extending into Beaver Lake. You have the choice of the southern view from the dock or the northern view, which is a few steps down on the “Martini Deck”.
The kitchen was well-equipped and we were able to cook several meals. The town of Tamworth is not too far away and has some nice bakeries and a grocery store. Napanee is not too far away if you need supplies.
There is an eagle’s next on the property which gave us some very up close views of the majestic bald eagle. The secret is out and the next is a draw for a number of boaters in the neighbourhood.
Despite the many rooms, the house still had a rustic feel to it, with the weather-worn decks and the semi-wild landscape. There is lots of patio furniture to use.
In addition to eagles we saw plenty of fish, foxes, water snakes, frogs, blue jays, beavers and more.
There is plenty of rainy day entertainment too including board games, puzzles, a well-stocked craft table, ping-pong table, and a media centre.
Overall a great stay!

This property is beautifully located, well appointed and clean. My family loved it!
The cottage was large enough that various groupings of family members could”do their own thing” and still be together for family meals. The cottage is open plan with lots of light. As my daughter-in-law remarked”The pictures did not lie!” The kitchen is very well equipped and the place is private. The kids and adults really enjoyed the water! We appreciated the kayaks and life jackets on the property. We drifted to sleep and woke up to the sound of loons. Who could ask for more?

Great family reunion spot!
We were in the cottage Aug 21-28,2015 .it was all we wanted.
Beautiful spot with lots of trees and water all around.we saw few Eagles on the top of the trees in the property. We swam and enjoyed the BBQ and the martini deck at sunset. Very private setting and quiet. our family had a good time to gather and visit. each other and laugh. We highly recommend this property as a vacation rental. Thanks again for a great holiday. K&J.

Piece of paradise!
After you drive down a private road with cottages and water on both sides, you reach the end of the road and arrive in paradise! A quiet, private and gorgeous property with tons of room to play both inside and out greets you. We were a party of 12 with kids and had a week of good weather to enjoy the outdoors almost every minute of every day, from playing outdoor games of soccer and catch to enjoying sitting on the dock and swimming in the water. Gazing up at the stars just before bedtime and going to sleep listening to the loons, you couldn't ask for more. You would not be sad to have to spend a day inside the cottage that offers more than you can imagine: a fully equipped craft table, play room up in the mezzanine or cozy up reading a book in front of the floor to ceiling stone fireplace, would make a rainy day go by fast. Preparing a meal in this open concept living space was a true family experience since it gives everyone a chance to participate without crowding each other while all the windows let you enjoy the views of the so private and beautiful surroundings. The description and photos of the property were accurate but you don't get the true feeling of it until you arrive and appreciate the splendor and serenity. The owner was so helpful and genuine and it showed that she and her family truly care for their property and it makes you feel so lucky to be able to live that "real cottage life" if only for a little while. Absolutely the best holiday we have enjoyed in years and we are so grateful for the opportunity to have created unforgettable memories! Thank you and can't wait to go again!
