Thank you for being such wonderful guests look forward to seeing you next year!
Excellent communication with host. The accommodations near our daughter so that made it a five Star. The place was comfortable and as advertised had a Boho Chic vibe. A little dated but very functional and located near downtown and all that St. Pete as to offer.

Thanks Audrey! Look forward to hosting you again. I believe the dated comment is referencing ceiling fans that neither her or her 70 yo husband could figure out how to turn off by pulling the cord. She sent me a comment stating how good he is at reading directions but couldn‘t figure out how to turn fans off. Was happy to assist and pull the cords on day 2 of their 2-night stay bc of their age and dexterity limits.
Check in was quick and easy once I realized that I did not need the host to be present. She made herself available by message told me all the information I needed to gain access. There was a sheet that gave me details about how to use the place, but I wasn’t aware of it till the end of my stay. Anyway, I was very comfortable. It was an excellent bed, the foliage around the yard was very pretty and I enjoyed setting on the excellent lounge chairs. It was a very agreeable and comfortable and economical stay.

Thanks! Great hosting you guys. I’ll be sure to alert ppl to the binder on top of the dresser before they checkin.
When I got to the unit the key was not where the owner said it would be. It was inside the unlocked unit. Cleanliness was poor. The unit was infested with cockroach’s . The owner had to come in while I was there to spray for bugs. There was no sink in the kitchen area. You had to wash your dirty dish’s in the bathroom sink. Internet was intermittent at best. Every show and program I watched would stop and buffer. I was told that if I didn’t use the hot tub I would receive a 10 per day credit which I never saw. The water in the hot tub was green. I was there for health reasons and would not risk getting into that green water. The yard area was unkept and the dining table out there was crawling with bugs. While I was there the owners cat was killed by a neighborhood dog. When she mentioned it to me I told her the time I heard the attack. She asked me why I didn’t go outside to stop the fight???? I didn’t even know she had a cat. And how is it a renting guests responsibility to be involved with that. Over all dissatisfied with the rental.

This guest is now trying to get a refund for days he says he wasn’t here in addition to refund for a hot tub that he told me in January he wasn’t going to use during his 26-night visit in March/April. Dennis was so rude he called at 9am on Easter. When he mentioned he saw a couple palmetto bugs I told him I would certainly spray. But he then wouldn’t let me access unit until 2 days later - so I certainly didn’t think it was infested. I asked him to leave 3 nights prior to his planned departure because he was so rude I felt bullied and scared. He refused to leave until 17th then left the door to unit unlocked without notifying me. When he came out of the suite as I was burying my dead cat and said he had heard the dogs attack her on side of my house I was shocked - who would hear an altercation like that and not at least say something to owner. He was able to wake me up at 9 am on Easter morning though

I’m sorry you were unable to keep the property at the 66 degrees you requested during your stay. Electric rates skyrocketed in FL. I encourage all visitors to FL to prepare for hot and humid weather

About the host
Hosted by Christine Hale
I called many places home as the daughter of an Air Force officer: Cali, Vegas, Guam, IL, SC, NE & MO. I’ve been in Florida since ‘98, living from Tallahaseee to Fort Myers and all points in between. I have 9 stamps in my passport: Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Monaco, Mexico, Bahamas, Belize, and Turks and Caicos. My yard reflects my nearly 30yr history working with plants and ancestral ties to Hawaii. I love inspiring others to explore!
Why they chose this property
It’s a quiet, residential neighborhood where most of the neighbors know each other. It isn’t uncommon to see ppl walking to get groceries daily at Publix at the end of the street.
What makes this property unique
The tranquil garden makes you feel like you’re in Hawaii! But it’s just a 15-minute drive to thriving downtown St. Petersburg and Madeira and Treasure Island beaches.
