Start your morning by opening the French doors onto your expansive deck where you can take in the spectacular sunrises. Sipping your coffee or Mimosa's on our comfortable chaise lounges, then have breakfast served at your outdoor dining table. 

This is where you can start your adventure's. Planning your perfect days in paradise, is as easy as spear fishing for lobster or conch. Ambergris Caye has an abundance of activities for all, this can easily be planned through our concierge. Snorkeling, kayaking to the second largest coal reef, scuba diving the Blue Hole, fishing for barracuda, boating from island to island, cruising in golf carts exploring, shopping, excursions to the mainland, or just simply relax for an in-room massage. La Perla has a beautiful swimming pool just steps away from Villa Sands. 
 
When the sun goes down, curl up on the hammock with a good book, relax and watch a movie on the flat screen TV, or challenge your guests to a game of cards all while dinner is being prepared by a chef in our fully equipped kitchen. 
 
Our open concept villa is perfectly configured for families, or couples travelling together. The interior of the villa features gorgeous Belizean wood work. Mahogany wood ceiling. Decor is rustic/modern with authentic Guatemalan antiques, artisan crafted wooden tables and unique driftwood artworks for all to enjoy. There are 2 bedrooms with 2 private bathrooms allowing you to comfortably sleep 6 guests.
 
You will enjoy this relaxing and unique home with the Belizean shores literally 15 feet in front of you. Your front yard is white sugar sand and turquoise blue waters. San Pedro Town can be accessed by golf cart or boat. Local restaurants are happy to transport guests to and from our dock.

Villa in paradise

The villa was exactly as described. It was very clean, spacious and very close to the water. The breeze really helped us stay cool and enjoy our stay. We would return to this little spot in paradise.

First time to Belize

Reviewer Comments: Once we found our way to the resort we enjoyed the amenities and especially loved the pool area. The local dive/snorkel company was extremely convenient as they literally picked us up from our resort dock and Mexico Rocks reef was only a 10 minute boat ride away. Absolutely the most amazing snorkeling I’ve done in my life so I can’t say enough about the experience. I will definitely come back to Belize for future vacations.

Spring break at La Perla

The only downfall was the seaweed had gathered around the sea wall causing a bad smell. The staff worked everyday to clean it up. Even with that small inconvenience I would recommend the unit. We loved the deck and pool area. We had a golf cart and it was easy to get around to surrounding restaurants and bars. I am sure we will being going back

Great experience in a beautiful villa

Everything about the listing was true. The staff were extremely kind and very responsive! The villa was very clean and everything in it worked perfectly - zero complaints. The only challenge with our visit in very early April was the nonstop wind coming off the ocean and the related sargassum (seaweed) buildup on the beach. The wind was 25-35 mph non-stop the 5 days we were there, which made it impossible to go fishing, scuba diving or really do anything on the water. It was even too windy to really enjoy the pool. I will say that the staff did an admirable job of dealing with the sargassum every morning that accumulated overnight. They spend a few hours shoveling it away - and thank goodness that they did or it really smells bad. The saving grace for us given the wind was that we rented a golf cart and were able to go to the protected Secret Beach area and other parts of the island. It also allowed us to go to the grocery store often (a great new grocery is only 10 min away by golf cart). We also used the cart to explore different restaurants in San Pedro and around the island. Overall, a great trip that was limited slightly by Mother Nature.

Not as advertised

Ok, I have to say that I don’t like writing bad reviews but feel like there are important takeaways that everyone should know before deciding if this is the right place for them. A little background we have been to many 5-star and 3-star places. We visited Cancun, Riviera Maya, Cabo, Hawaii, and Costa Rica. This was not any of them in a negative way. On our check-in, we got our orientation which included no swimming in the ocean as there was seaweed and no real place to swim(it was like that for the whole island...only Secret beach-and this was not really much of a beach. We Only went there for couple of hours and kids wanted to leave). Other items on orientation- do not flush toilets with toilet paper and to discard soiled toilet paper in the trash can because the sewage pipes can't handle it. Next, we settled in and the sheets for our bedroom and the kids bedroom were so dirty. small red drops...not sure what that was. The kids had a bunch of other stains. One of the kids beds sheets was clean with no stains. Anyway, we changed the sheets ourselves that were in the closet and told the office and they seemed as a big shock and offered us a free one-hour massage(which was very nice of them). But still, we spend a lot of money for our one week vacation and was not what we expected. The showers had very low water flow, the furniture, kitchen appliances, paint everywhere was very old and chipped needed a serious makeover. not as advertised. C No jacuzzi. the pool was mediocre.

This was an amazing trip for us 6 girls for a getaway. The rooms worked out great for us. A beautiful beachside view of sunrise. We loved enjoying the mornings on the deck. It is a very quiet relaxing place on the island. We enjoyed seeing the area in our rented golf cart. Free to come and go whenever. The road into town is a little bumpy, but we are from a small community, and we live on dirt roads, therefore did not bother us at all. Star and Cindy were great to answer any questions. The only downside was the smell from the washed-up seaweed. The smell was a strong sewer type smell. From what we understand it was the season for it to be an issue. We also had an issue with an air conditioner that water was puddling on the floor and had to be turned off, and it took 2 days for someone to see about it. It did not cause us any discomfort as it was cool this time of year. The other thing I would point out is that it is difficult to actually walk into the water as there is a built-up wall at the water's edge, not easy access to the water. It was not clear in the pictures and advertising. Overall an amazing trip with great friends. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Gorgeous beachside retreat

Wow! From the moment we arrived at La Perla to the moment we left we were treated to a slice of paradise and excellent hospitality. The Sands is a perfect unit for a family or two couples to get away to the beach. Walk right out to the beach and relax on the pier. Hop in a kayak and cruise the beautiful clear blue water. Michael, Roberto and the whole crew were incredibly responsive and there to help or set up any activity we could dream of, or help us dream. Everything was very clean and well stocked. Thank you for an excellent stay! We will be back.

AMAZING OFF SEASON STAY!

One downfall that was noones fault was the dead seaweed that was brought in by the storms/waves. No one can prepare for that. Other than the rotten egg smell, our trip was one for the books. We made the best out of the rotten smell. The staff was just AMAZING "nothing to big or to small", right Michaela!? I cant say it enough, amazing staff, food and accommodations!
