Mountain View Lodge- 23 acre, Riverfront Ranch

Mountain View Lodge lies on the western edge of the scenic Texas Hill Country, offering spectacular views & sunsets--great for gatherings large or small. The lodge sits high above crystal-clear, spring-fed Pulliam creek (Middle Prong of the Nueces River), which is ideal for swimming, tubing, and snorkeling. A 5-ft-deep swimming hole is at the lodge. Accommodations: Upstairs: 2 bedrooms with king beds. Downstairs there are beds for 8 people (additionally, there are 3 comfortable foam pads, pillows & bedding). Large decks on both levels with 4 private entrances to the house to avoid disturbing others. TELECOMMUTE FROM THE RANCH! Super-fast, fiber-optic internet. Do your Zoom business and school meetings wirelessly. A 55-inch Roku TV is downstairs and a 50-inch Roku TV is upstairs. Weather Conditions: It is not just summertime that's great in the Hill Country. Fall, spring, and even winter are some of the most wonderful weather days. Pets ages 1 year or over are welcome.

We’ve come back to MVL for the last 5 years. We love the home and the location. We’ve seen the water be anything from a trickle to a flood but it never disappoints. I was sad that Kermit no longer owned the home because we’ve always had a great experience with him but Danielle was just as awesome. We will continue to come back and make memories! Thanks for another great year!

This property is magnificent the scenery is just beautiful. You are able to fish, swim,barbeque, enjoy the scenery or just relax. The checking in and checking out couldn'tbe easier. I would highly recommend.

We had such a wonderful family weekend at this beautiful cottage! My husband and I brought our two teenagers, and it was the perfect place to get away, slow down, and enjoy some quality time together.The house was spacious, very clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The crystal-clear water was literally just steps from the back porch, and it was so clear that we could see the fish swimming below.What we enjoyed most was the peace and quiet and simply being surrounded by nature. We saw deer, a roadrunner, and so many different kinds of birds throughout our stay. The evenings were probably our favorite—we made s’mores around the fire pit while watching the stars, and the sunsets were absolutely beautiful.It was such a peaceful and relaxing weekend for our family and a wonderful break from the everyday rush. We left with great memories and would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet getaway surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife. We would happily stay here again!

We definitely enjoyed our stay! The river was very relaxing. The house is very spacious and allows for everyone to do different activities; whether it’s watching tv or playing board games, there is something for everyone to do!

We have enjoyed every visit to Moutain View Lodge during the last 13 years. The new owner's back deck renovation is an amazing addition to an already outstanding vacation destination. Everything we needed was in place when we arrived.

This place fits our needs nicely. It’s secluded and has a fantastic swimming hole. The house is clean and comfy with a big deck overlooking a fabulous view. You’ll get your exercise going up and down the hill to the river.

Description was spot on. The house was great plenty of room. Wi-Fi worked. Five minute walk down to the water and the creek was actually running. We caught plenty of little fishies in the swimming hole. Cooked on the barbecue and enjoyed the amazing view and the peaceful serenity. Thank you so much for sharing your home! We fully intend to make this a yearly stay.

My family and I love coming here, the water was great, and we love Mr. Donkey. My only complaint is the rooms with carpet do have a mildew smell on them. Overall the house is exceptionally well supplied, and all instructions are simple and clear. Thank you Kermit, we enjoyed our stay.
