The host was welcoming, gave good instructions. The place was very clean, had wonderful ocean views, albeit the weather was stormy (which was a nice touch). The rooms were ample and well furnished. We actually enjoyed the wide variety of fish oriented decor/art a lot. Also, really enjoyed the family pictures and scenery. Would definitely go back again, if the situation works out. We also like Westport a lot.

Wonderful Home on the Ocean Shore of Westport

We had a wonderful time at this beach house, and in Westport. The house has everything that we could have hoped for including incredible views of the ocean, peace and serenity, a pleasant atmosphere, and very gracious hosts. We would love to begin planning another trip for next year to the same place.

The stay was exceptional, the home was a true beach house stay, played at the beach, ate seafood, ate ice cream, enjoyed all that wesport had to offer. We did a fishing charter and rode the go carts; my family always loves westport and are already planning out our next trip.

Our stay here was wonderful. Looking around the place I total felt like a family member staying there. The only thing we had trouble figuring out was the heat/ac unit was difficult to figure out, but it wasn't bad enough to ruin our trip. My daughter last minute decided to bring her baby and I loved the open floor plan it made it very easy to set up the pack and play for him. We had a little deer family come and visit us daily and the sunsets were absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful home with quick access to beach House was clean and spacious enough for our group of 8 Would recommend to anyone with larger groups Though i will say i was not aware the home ran on propane and the propane happened to be low the whole time until we contacted the owner which was very helpful and helped us through the setup, the jacuzzi took about a full day to warm up but was well worth the wait

This house is fabulous! We loved everything about it. Make sure to get the master bedroom add on if you need all the space. Internet and data download are spotty however the location is so great you won't want to look at your computer or phone.

This is a TREASURE by the sea. It's a real home, filled with creative and carefully crafted furniture, artwork, collectibles. If you're looking for a party house, find another place to stay. These hosts deserve people that will cherish their home as much as they obviously do.We brought my 95-year-old mother for her birthday. She used to camp at South Beach campground at Kalaloch (if you know it, you know.) She doesn't have the energy to go to the beach, just to look at it. The pictures in the listing can't do it justice. The view is unbelievable. It's the closest we've had to Kalaloch yet. The whole family could sit inside or out and just watch the waves for hours. Yes, the ramp to the top level was steep, but with a little hand on her back she was able to get up it with her walker. The master suite was perfect for her needs. Only had to sleep with her the first night to make sure she could get to the bathroom OK with her walker and she did great. The shower was amazing. We did bring a shower chair so she could sit down.Never seen a better equipped kitchen in any vacation rental. We cooked up a storm with all the utensils/pans/dishes.The 70-yard hike to the beach was a breeze. The beach itself was great, not crowded, great swimming with my grandson. Lost my best-ever flip flops to some beach scavenger when I left them by some driftwood while I walked down the beach to watch the sunrise. So stash your shoes at the top of the trail just to be safe. Thanks Porter & Gail!!!
