Efra-Nes is a hidden pearl in the country side of Iceland, surrounded with pure nature and historical sites. For years this was a family farm which has now been renovated into a modern home while keeping the authentic feel. The private property is located near the river Þverá, one of the greatest fly-fishing rivers in Iceland. Away from any light pollution which gives you a great chance of viewing the Northern Lights from the comfort of your own home away from home.

We offer four bedrooms and each room has stunning views over the raw nature.

The Real Iceland

Great stay in authentic Iceland farmhouse! Besides visiting the natural features of Iceland, the highlight of our trip was an optional meal service offered by the owners. The meal was great, I highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunity if you can. On-site caretaker extremely helpful and courteous.

A hidden pearl in the country side surrounded with pure nature and history of the Icelandic Viking Sagas. Activity's like glacier cave tour,lava cave tour, waterfalls, volcanic landscape, horse rental and birds. Geothermal spa in the area and other wonders of Iceland.
The location of the farm is one of the best to experience the Northern lights, just step outside with warm drinks and wool blanket wrapped around you.
The farm house offers 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms, steam bath and Jacuzzi outside.
Private dinner at the farm
Enjoy the Northern lights after dinner if the weather conditions are right. The Northern lights are depending on weather conditions and are never guaranteed.

The Private farm house is located in the west part of Iceland. The region offers a multitude of opportunities for those who want adventurous activities, culture and leisure close by.

There are many highlights of activities based on personal approach. What about amazing visit to the nearby glacier, explore volcanic lava caves or take a hike of endless trails in unspoiled nature?

The nearby farmland offers a personal visit to meet some local farmers for a horseback riding on the beautiful Icelandic horses, to have a taste of local organic ingredients or get in touch with friendly Icelandic live stock.

The region is rich of art, crafts and culture, both museums and exhibitions dedicated to the settlement of Iceland, Vikings, volcanos, shark, war and peace etc. and of course local design and art.


The surrounding region can be regarded as the setting for most of the Icelandic Viking Sagas. The area's landscape, nature and culture reflect this heritage and bring history to life.
