Relax and unwind at Tooker Villa La Jolla, a spacious 6-bedroom, 6-bath villa featuring the luxurious layout of a traditional Mexican Hacienda, located on the hillside of Costa Azul in the private gated community of La Jolla Residential in Los Cabos.

This 3,500 sq. ft. villa sleeps up to 12 guests and offers an ideal combination of private suites and large communal spaces. The property features 5 master suites, giving guests excellent bedroom privacy while still allowing everyone to gather comfortably in the main living areas.

Located inside La Jolla Residential, a 24-hour gated private community, guests also have access to 1 private tennis court and 2 pickleball courts, a popular amenity for active guests and families.

Bedroom configuration includes:
• 4 bedrooms with king-size beds
• 1 bedroom with a queen bed
• 1 bedroom with two twin beds that convert to a king

Outside you'll find a large private pool, spa, and waterfall features, surrounded by tropical landscaping and covered outdoor patios designed for relaxing and entertaining.

The most excellent stay!

Perfect relaxing vacation for our family of 12! Great set up. Everyone had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. Great family space to play cards and eat inside and out. We enjoyed lounging around and swimming in the pool. Even played pickleball several times. Great location! The beaches we close by and everything we wanted to do was not far away. The house managers were awesome and responded quickly to any question or need! I've also never had an owner of a rental be so attentive and kind and helpful. Overall, my family LOVED staying here! We would come back again and definitely recommend to family and friends!

Beautiful house in the perfect location!

We took our family (10 people ) and had the BEST time ever! This house is perfectly situated in a private community. We felt very safe and were able to access close by beaches. It is a beautiful home with ample room for everyone. We look forward to our next stay! *There's a super cool binder at the house with so many helpful tips and ideas. If you go, call Elfer (she's listed in the book). She will come and make AMAZING food right there at the house! We loved having her come!

Perfect Stay

We were a family group of eleven. All had bedrooms and an ensuite, so we were comfortable and had privacy. The location is perfect, close enough to Cabo for a day trip and very close to San Jose del Cabo, the airport, and beautiful beaches. All much preferred San Jose (charming) to Cabo San Lucas. The house was the best of indoor outdoor living with a very nice pool. Chris was a superior host, providing accurate information and arranging for services, like a welcome party and a catered family dinner. Chris stated that he has some projects ready to go that will make your stay even better. You will have a great time here!

Lo Mejor!

Casa La Jolla es Lo Mejor!. An amazing space to be with the family this past week. Our host and property manager made sure that we had everything we needed. This property had all the amenities we expected. Would highly recommend the arrival party with Elfer... well worth the extra. The pool and spa were a nice retreat for a morning swim and warm soak at night. Easy access to local SJ and 15 minutes to my favorite marina Puerto Los Cabos for some of the best pelagic fishing. Thanks for sharing your home!

60th birthday celebration

Loved our stay at Tooker Villa. 8 of us (mixed couples and singles). We decided to heat the pool, which was a great decision. We did our own breakfasts/lunches, and ate dinner out. Fairly easy walking distance to the beach (warning, you have to walk uphill back!). Rented cars, so super easy to hit the grocery stores, and evening restaurants. The 4 bedrooms upstairs are separate with a central "courtyard" which was perfect for us. We tended to congregate around the pool and the kitchen. We would totally come back here again!! We made so many amazing memories, and the Villa is definitely a part of those memories.

Ideal for a family or several couples.

Today my husband and I received a handwritten thank you card from our 10-yo grandson thanking us for finding an “amazing private villa” in Cabo. Everyone in our family of 11, ages 8 to 73 thoroughly loved staying at the Tooker Villa. Spacious, great layout allowing for privacy but with great gathering places, big, we’ll-furnished kitchen, great swimming pool and spa... Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms... Nice neighborhood in a gated community...... And Lori and Chris were so kind and prompt in responding to my every question. The Information Packet they provided is thorough and helpful. Best VRBO Host

My wife and I rented both the villa and casa for our wedding in Cabo a few weeks ago. I don't even know where to begin. Chris, the owner, sent us a ton of information before checking in about the house, transportation, additional services, restaurants, etc. He was also extremely easy to contact throughout the trip if we needed anything. His house manager, Irma, was there to greet us and show us around both properties. In addition to managing the properties, she is also available to do group dinners. We hired her for multiple dinners and the food was amazing and so fresh, not to mention how sweet Irma and her daughter were. The properties are in a gated neighborhood and we took walks every morning. Everyone that stayed with us felt safe and well cared for the whole time. The Villa is an open concept home that feels rustic and authentic. The stairway leading upstairs is gorgeous and the view is unbeatable. The house came well stocked with everything we needed. I can not recommend these properties enough. Chris and Irma go above and beyond to make you feel like family. I will definitely stay at one of his properties if I am ever in the area again.

Great location!

Loved the house. It was big enough for all of us (we had 10 adults). The location was excellent and easy to get to Los Cabo and San Jose. Grocery Store located within minutes. However, there did not seem to be any beach access as stated...even if there was it was a big hill to walk down and then back up to the property. The area the house is located in is gated and well secured. Very nice homes and security personal.

Awesome House!

This house and location are awesome! Very quiet neighborhood and close to everything we wanted to do. The pool and hot tub was excellent, they even had pool toys for us to enjoy and PLENTY of beach towels! The house is very accommodating with everything you need to feel at home, they even provide shampoo and body wash. Angie was very helpful via email, before our arrival, answering all of our questions and Leo was great, he greeted us (hot and weary travelers) with chips, salsa and cold beverages!! We rented a car, I would highly recommend you do the same. Super easy to get to all the sights; beaches, shopping, restaurants. Walking up the hill isn't impossible but it is a hike. Tooker's, thank you for sharing your house with us we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

The property was great!

We really enjoyed the villa, especially the pool! With 4 kids in our party this was the highlight. The beach is located just down the hill and through the hotel. A steep climb back up the hill but worth it. La Comer is a great grocery store with other items to buy but the better store is across the way that looks like a car dealership. Go here! We used the bus system to get to Cabo San Lucas for only $2.50 per person each way. Victor was great with responding to texts. I would give the property a 5 if the little things about the property had been taken care of before our arrival. The dishwasher was broken the entire time. With 11 people, that was a huge bummer. Doors stick, lightbulbs burned out, open wiring on the deck by the pool, wiring and remotes not operable on the bedroom TVs. Other than those issues, we had a wonderful time.

San Jose Del Cabo

This home is totally over the top. I rented this home for my son's 50th birthday. All of my children arrived from all over. The home is simple, and that was the beauty of it. We loved the kitchen which went right into the dining room.....all one big room......a great place for a party. One of the best parts was privacy; everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom..........pure luxury. Of course, the pool and Jacuzzi was the icing on the cake. It's location was perfect for us in that it was very close to a huge store that carried everything and also close to town with good access to/from the airport. Walking to the beach was just a hop, skip, and a jump. We were able to gather all together as a group or go off on your own or with someone to the patio, the pool, the Jacuzzi or in the large area upstairs outside all the bedrooms.........lots of privacy. Lori was very accommodating and always available. She provided me with a ton of information on restaurants, stores, etc. Manuel was readily available for help of any kind in regard to this home. 60th Birthday at the Villa

This Villa really exceeded our expectations. We had a group of 12 friends and family. It was perfect for us as it felt like a hotel with a common area. Everyone had their space when they wanted it which was not often. Spent many nights in the hot tub and many days in the pool which were very clean and beautiful We cooked dinner every night as the kitchen had everything you needed and plenty of room to have everyone help. Very close to town and the Mega mart. I would recommend a car so that you can go to the beach or town or what ever you would like. Manual the caretaker was just a phone call away and always responded to our needs. When we have another large event we will be back.

Perfect Vacation Villa

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful villa. The six rooms each had their individual style and were very comfortable. The view from the rooms on the upper level is fantastic. The villa is perfect for relaxing by the pool, in the Jacuzzi, or under the covered patio. I enjoy cooking so having a grill next to the pool was perfect. Lori made sure all our needs were met before we arrived. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and always responded quickly. Manuel and his wife greeted us with appetizers and margaritas upon arrival and prepared a wonderful dinner for us on our first night. I highly recommend you have them prepare a meal for you at least one night during your stay. We will definitely stay at this residence again!

Amazing Cabo Rental Houses

I rented both the main and adjoining houses with a group of friends in early-May 2015. I would highly recommend these properties - both of them were amazing! The house is beautiful and the landscaping is really well done, which is a great touch with the outdoor pool and hot tub. The house comes fully equipped with everything you could need to cook at home, take to the beach and have a great time in general. Also, it was very well situated in terms of access to/from the airport and only about 20 minutes into downtown Cabo. Lori is wonderful - very responsive and accommodating. Definitely an overall five-star experience!

Great house, great location

My family had the pleasure of staying in the Tooker residence at the end of March 2015. The home was spacious and perfect for the 8 of us. My kids all shared bedrooms while my parents had the privacy and quiet of the guest casa. The home comes well equipped with everything you would need from kitchen gadgets to boogey boards for the beach. We did have a small issue with ants in kitchen (on stove and fridge) but I'm this sure can be easily rectified. The best part of the house is its location. We were able to walk down to the beach (though it's not a swimming beach) or to the Mega grocery store, or our favourite espresso joint (Norma Jeans cafe across from hotel row) or to our all time favourite seafood restaurant Blue fish (behind the Honda dealership across and down from Mega). My communications with Lori made the trip planning/booking extremely easy. She was extremely prompt with her responses and provided us with a lot of information regarding things to do/see in the area. We wouldn't hesitate to book again. Thank you for everything Lori.

Beautiful villa, great for large groups

We had such a great time at the Villa! It’s really a fabulous space. There’s a cool outdoor spiral staircase up to the second level with a common area upstairs balcony, and great private balconies off two of the bedrooms. We were celebrating my 30th birthday here, and it was a perfect spot for that. There were 8 people in this house and we had plenty of space. It easily could have fit 11-12 people. The 5 master suites are really awesome for everyone to have their own private area. We spent a lot of time at the pool, and had a private chef come to make meals for everyone at a very reasonable price. We also had her make extra leftover reheatable entrees for us so we didn’t have to worry about making much food at the house. Though we did fire up the grill the first and last nights to cook burgers. We headed down to Zippers a couple times which was great, but spent most of the trip in the pool and hottub!

Beautiful Hotel-like Villa

We booked rooms at one of the posh resorts for my daughter's wedding, but because of the hurricane, the resort wasn't sure if they would be opened in time. We searched VRBO and found this great Villa. What caught our attention was all the separate rooms with their own bathroom! When we inquired about the availability, the owners were very prompt n responding. We were also pleased to find out that they owned the next door house as well. With a group that was rapidly growing in numbers, we were able to book the 2 places together. In total we had 17 people. I had emailed Lori several times and each time she responded immediately with helpful information. She has directions, recommendations and information about Cabo that she emails. It put our mind at ease to be able to communicate so easily. The majority of the rooms are upstairs and 2 rooms are downstairs. Grandma stayed in the room downstairs which she loved! Having a centralized kitchen was also a bonus. It was stocked with a lot of glasses, dishes, serving dishes, bowls and cooking utensils. You don't need to bring anything. If you need groceries, The Mega store, which carries everything, is about 2 driving minutes away. The property manager is also available, if needed. The bedrooms were well appointed. Each had a clean, extremely comfortable bed, a lot of closet space and large showers. Each room had its own air conditioner with a remote. Everyone loved the idea that they were in a room with a separate entry. The pool and spa were awesome. It was clean and refreshing. I loved the waterfall that could be heard throughout the Villa. Especially when you open all the sliders (all had screens). The owners supplied plenty of beach towels, laundry soap, hand soap and cleaning supplies. There is also a large refrigerator that has filtered water (safe to drink!) for all the beverages. You can also drink water from the spicket at the sink. Because we used the pool so much, the washer and dryer came in handy. You can park cars in the driveway which has a large gate that can be locked. If security is a concern, no need to worry. The Villa is surrounded by a large fence and small gate that can be locked up and the security guards are always driving around on mopeds. I have raved about the Villa to everyone who asked how our trip was. I couldn't have found a better place to stay. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I go back to Cabo (unless it's next door)! Thank you Lori and Chris – you are the best!

Fantastic Vacation Home for Friends & Family!

We loved our stay here! We originally booked a hotel for friends and family for their stay in Cabo for our destination wedding but due to the hurricane, we were left hanging about whether our hotel would open in time. After a quick search on VRBO, I came across this villa and the other property owned by Lori and Chris. I reached out to Lori, and after an immediate reply, we decided this place would be perfect for our wedding weekend! This house is perfectly laid out for couples and groups. Downstairs includes a large suite with a full bath, a small room, laundry room, full bathroom, large kitchen with a bar, a living room and a dining room, with an open concept. Each of these areas have doors for the outside pool, providing shade and cool-ness for some and pool time for others. Upstairs houses the other 4 individual rooms, which are basically like little suites with a full attached bath. Each room has it's own unique charm. The pool was awesome and the spa really sealed the deal. Everyone enjoyed hanging out by the pool and bbq'ing. My friends and family were so impressed that several of them mentioned coming back again! Also, the house is located in what I would consider the "Beverly Hills" of Cabo/San Jose and felt extremely safe. The location is also super close to Mega and the airport, making pickup and drop off's a breeze. Lastly, I can't thank Lori and Chris enough for their generosity and friendliness. I've never rented a vacation home from a nicer family. They really went out of their way to make sure we were happy and answered all of our questions QUICKLY. Their property manager Manuel, is also wonderful and helped make sure our stay was perfect. If you're looking for a house in San Jose/Cabo, don't pass this one up!

Los Cabos Gem!

The Tooker Villa in La Jolla was a perfect place for our family to vacation. The home is spacious, clean and well appointed. Located in a private, gated community, we felt safe and sound during our stay. The caretakers and chefs, Manuel and Sandy took great care of us. Truly lovely people. Their food is top notch! At their recommendation, we drove out to Todos Santos - a very cute town. Had a midday meal at Todos Santos Caffe at Sandy's suggestion and we highly recommend it as well. A fun half day excursion. Stopped at Shut up Franks for a round of beers on the way into this small town. Lots of memorabilia on the walls: old James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Rat Pack era, boxing, etc. Lots of cute shops to visit in this quaint town. Went to San Jose for the art walk on Thursday and met some of the local artists: Metin Berketli, wow what a personality-his art was featured on Friends and catapulted his career, lots of celebs with whom he has taken photographs, fun to look those at, as well as the art. Invited us in from the street for a glass of wine. Ivan Guadarrama-my fav and hope to buy one of his pieces soon. Fell in love with the Talavera pottery! San Jose is a darling little town-much better than San Lucas. So much to look at there that we came back twice to see more. We tried twice to visit Flora Farms and missed out each time. Mondays they are closed and Friday when we tried again, we're closed for Adam Levine's wedding. Wow! All the locals said that summer came early and it was unseasonably warm, El Niño and all . . . 65%+ humidity, so thankful you have AC units in each room! The home was perfect for all 9 of us. We will definitely let all our friends and colleagues know that if they are looking for a great vacation in Los Cabos to contact the you. All in all a very restful and fun vacation!

Que Bueno!!

Our extended family stayed for a week at Tooker Villa over Thanksgiving week. The separate bedroom suites were great for space and privacy. The kitchen is beautiful and new remodeled. New appliances and granite countertops make it easy to feed a crowd. There was ample room and supplies. It was a breeze to work with the owners and they provided tons of great information about the area and restaurant. Very nice villa in a perfect location.

Awesome Framily Vacation!

We just loved Tooker Villa!! What a great place for ten friends/family to spend eleven days together. The setting was so wonderful there were several days we never left the Villa. We all absolutely would come back and recommend to all this VRBO! Due to the delay in Resort Recovery from Hurricane damage, our group of Friends/Family found the Tooker Villa as a possible alternative to our annual Cabo vacation. The property was a great fit for all; each bedroom was furnished with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The Kitchen, dining and living room were well equipped and spacious for a group of ten adults to cook, mingle and relax. The outdoor space with Spa and Pool is just fabulous. Plenty of room again for 10 adults to catch some sun on the lounge chairs, or swim in the pool... or just relax. The neighborhood is quiet, the people are friendly and for those concerned with safety, not only locking the gates at night, but, seeing and hearing the security guards drive through at night kept all at ease. Two great restaurants are both a short walk away. Recommend a walk during the daytime to see Surf Beach, and some local cuisine. Visit San Jose and experience some shopping, art and if you like authentic “Tamales” visit the Plaza Square in San Jose. We recommend you take advantage of the "Catered" meal option at least once. The authentic meal is heavenly and prepared by the sweetest lady. Thursday evening take a cab to San Jose and enjoy the Art Deco District, visit the galleries, sip some wine and watch all the activities in the Plaza Square. Shopping can easily be done at one of three grocery stores a short cab ride away. The Pool Maintenance came in twice during our 11 days to check and clean the Spa/Pool. The Yard Maintenance came in once and groomed an already great yard and planters. The Maid came in once and cleaned the home and laundered towels. The Tooker Villa owners went above and beyond to prepare the Villa for our vacation. Multiple emails back and forth with our questions and quick detailed answers from the owners were extremely helpful.

We live in Southern California with our two teenage children, married for 20+ years! We truly love going to Cabo and enjoy all the beauty it has to offer. Our kids enjoy going to ride quads on the beach, wave runners, the ziplines, stand up paddle (SUP), boogie boards and just relaxing in the sun. We love to travel and share our experiences with others who like the same!

Why they chose this property

My husband went to Cabo in 1994 & came back and told me I had to go - I resisted & said 'NO'. He assured me that it was safe and I would have a great time and if I did not like it I would never have to go back. So I gave in and we went in the month of October and after two hours, dinner on the marina, drinking margaritas with Jimmy Buffet playing in the background - this is way better than Hawaii!
Cabo is wonderful & has truly blessed our life and family. We just love everything - easy flights, easy to get around, less expensive than Hawaii, great weather, etc. When he told me he wanted to buy a home in Cabo I again said 'NO', but in 2004 we drove from Southern California with our kids (7 and 9) to Cabo. Again I was very reluctant, but went anyways. We vacationed the whole way down and then stayed in a timeshare once in Cabo. My husband then proceeded to drag us around to look at real estate to purchase - yuk! Well our very last day we found Tooker Villa La Jolla and again it was love at first sight. We bought it and put in the pool/spa/waterfall and other upgrades. We have since built another 5 bedroom villa right next door (Casa del Sol). I'm happy to say I have now been over 40+ times and can't wait to return every time to this very special place!

What makes this property unique

One of the unique benefits of our Villa is 5 of the bedrooms are very private suites with their own full bathroom. Everytime you come out of one of the bedrooms you are outside on the terrace. This makes the main living area and kitchen self contained and you can't hear any noise if people are up late or early in the kitchen. The one dream my husband has had is that guests rent both villas for family reunions, generation trips or wedding groups. Since they are side by side it makes if very convenient and we can sleep up to 22 people. We hope everyone enjoys our villas as much as we do!!!
