Great property to share a weekend away with 10 girlfriends. Each bedroom has an ensuite which was a pleasant surprise. The quality, cleanliness and location to the lake and Daylesford was perfect. Hope to return one day.
Fabulous house on the lakes edge. Amazingly comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen & bathroom amenities. All bedrooms with ensuites work perfectly for families or friends travelling together. Great walking trails around the lakes just outside the front gate. 15-20mins walk into the township of Daylesford. Lots of stairs over 3 levels so not suited to anyone with mobility issues. A few minor issues that come with rentals (cleaning & maintenance but nothing serious) Would definitely stay again.
We chose Lakes Edge property because of the size, rooms and en-suites that the house provided. The layout was great and position in Daylesford fabulous. Everything was amazing except the internet in the house. The description said there was internet but this was not the case. We had no internet in the house at all! After looking everywhere and trying to get the internet to work we discovered that there was no connection to the house from the outside so we had nothing. We had organised online quiz games and the boys also wanted to watch football and we could do none of the things planned. We called the managers and they called out a technician on Saturday who bought his own system ( he was so helpful) and hooked this up but it was really not much help as it crashed when more than one person was on the internet.
In a place like Daylesford the internet is flaky at best so to say that the house has internet was a false claim and needs to be addressed and fixed.
We would not return to this property for the problem we had as in this day and age the internet is a necessity and we were very disappointed in the lack of transparency in what was promised.
We paid quite a high fee for our stay and expected out stay to be a complete experience.
We had a party of 11 friends celebrating a special birthday. The property was superb with 6 good sized bedrooms all with ensuites so no fighting about the best room! The lounges were comfy and the kitchen well appointed. It is in a great position for walks around the lake and proximity to town. The weather was dreadful so we really appreciated the fires to laze around.
The house overall was very spacious for 12 adults. Comfortable and very welcoming. Close to all ementies like shops restaurants and walking trails. Had the best time and would recommend to any with a large group.
Some furniture should be replaced as not very comfortable and well worn. But was excellent otherwise
Great property. Stunning location. You can walk out of the property straight out to eautiful walks on on Lake. We had our family Christmas here and I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. Very spacious. The only negative thing I would say is that the fridge is too small for so many adults and the bin gets over full.
