Legend has it that when the sun rises over Hangu, the mountain peaks light up like torches, while the mist floating above the water carries with it the whispers of shepherds from long ago. Locals often call it “the sea among the mountains”, for the lake, gathering the waters of the Bistrița River, gives the place a majesty that takes your breath away.
The houses stand like little fortresses on the ridges of the hills, with fenced gardens and old apple trees leaning their branches over the paths. The people of Hangu are gentle and welcoming, always ready to share stories about ancient customs, about the days when fish were plentiful in the Bistrița before the dam, or about nights when the sky is so full of stars that it feels as if the entire universe has descended upon the village.
At the edge of the forests, deer emerge at dusk, and the song of birds accompanies you everywhere. My property is unique because it offers the possibility of a trip to the Altan mountain, as the house is also called. The mountain captures the life in the country, the sheepfolds where the animals are cared for, the simple life in the mountains. It is a real treasure and that is why it is called gold I look forward to seeing you
