Stunning villa, beautiful views, perfect hosts! Absolutely loved this holiday and would go back again. You definitely need a car and it’s about a 10 minute drive to shops and restaurants in the centre. I would describe this villa and pool as a little bit of paradise, especially with the peacocks roaming around . Kids loved feeding the cats and the kitten. It was just a lovely holiday! Thank you Stella and your husband for your great hospitality

We had a beautiful family holiday in Crete with 4 adults for 10 nights. A car is needed, but the house is easy to find and well located for exploring the area.The grounds are complemented by the peacocks, cats, beautiful trees, and general remoteness.Although the house claims to accommodate 12, I would have been disappointed if there had been 12 guests. I would suggest max 8, (poss 9) There were extra beds that were in cupboards, but these would make the rooms cramped. One of the rooms does not have air con.The house is a lovely, spacious family home, but some areas were tired. The kitchen was quite dark and some areas were dirty. Good pots and pans, lots of crockery and glasses, but not much room to store food.The pool was lovely, with 4 sun loungers and a really lovely, spacious and shady seating area. Although not needed, there was no hot tub as listed.The location is fairly quiet, but on Friday and Saturday nights the wedding venue next door is loud (there must me a Crete wedding tradition of noisy exhausts on cars- wow, they are loud!) and the music often went on to the early hours, but the wedding fireworks were lovely.Overall, we had a really lovely time and Stella was very helpful and responded quickly if we had any issues.

Thank you for choosing Promachon Villa for your family holiday and for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. Regarding the hot tub: the villa has a jetted whirlpool bath in the master bedroom, which Vrbo’s amenity list displays as a “spa pool”. We understand how this could suggest an outdoor hot tub, and we have contacted Vrbo to correct it. Regarding capacity: our listing shows the maximum number of guests the villa can sleep. Vrbo doesn’t offer a folding-bed option, so the extra beds we provide for larger groups appear as single beds. That’s why we’ve added a note to our listing clarifying that the capacity of 12 includes folding beds, so future guests know exactly what to expect. We’d also like to let you know that we’ll be adding air conditioning to the remaining bedroom before the 2027 season. We also take your comments about cleanliness very seriously. We’ve shared them with our housekeeping team and are adding extra checks before every arrival. Thank you again. We hope to welcome you back to Crete!

Literal life-saver

We had such an amazing experience at this lovely property and with these lovely hosts. The house and grounds are gorgeous and the pool is such a highlight, especially on a hot day. Everything was in excellent condition and it was a joy to stay and cook and eat together at this lovely villa. I especially want to express our gratitude to the owners who not only made us feel wonderfully welcome, but who managed to get a prescription for my husband's life-saving medicine that he forgot in the US. Without her help, we could have been in a very serious situation. They also arranged for a private chef to make a delicious dinner for us the night we arrived. It was amazing and I highly recommend other guests should do that. We were so sad to leave.
