There are the "usual" things that you hope for -- clean and well-stocked place, with comfortable furniture and plenty of hot water. This home had all of that, but lots more. And the really unique reason not to miss this cabin in the woods is that it is fun in itself! It would have to be described as a combination of the log home occupied by Heidi's grandfather in the alps (in the book & movie of the same name) and a museum of Americana folk art. We spent several full days here and still were discovering more curiosities that the owners had placed in and outside their home as we were leaving. All around were blooming flowers, tall trees, and the serenity of the mountains that surrounded it. Furniture and beds were comfy, the kitchen had everything, the smart TV had all the channels you'd want, but somehow if not, the owners had over a thousand DVD's that you could pick from. Modern washer and dryer too. We travel around a lot, and this gem in the deep forest is right up there at the top.
