I’ve been renting in the Breckenridge area for years, and this was my least satisfactory stay. Several issues came up that the host did not meaningfully address. When we arrived, we noticed two exterior security cameras that were not disclosed in the listing at the time of booking (they have since been added). One faces the driveway, and the hot tub sits at the rear of the driveway, leaving limited privacy unless a vehicle blocks the view. The hot tub is visible to the driveway camera.Midweek there was a power outage. Because there is no cell service in the area, we requested an emergency phone number, which the host declined to provide. We had to drive into town just to notify them. The home had no flashlights, batteries, candles, or other emergency supplies. When I asked to purchase flashlights and be reimbursed, the host would not agree and said only they would “consider it.”Cleanliness was below what I’m used to in local rentals. There was hair in some of the towels and beds. The refrigerator had an odor, only half the hot tub jets worked, and the kitchen lacked some basic supplies (otherwise usable). The cabin itself is comfortable, but the heat stayed on longer than expected. Beds were comfortable and some bath products were provided, but they didn’t last a week and didn’t appear recently restocked. The grill works although it’s underpowered. Games were a nice touch. Overall, the host’s replies felt impersonal and scripted.
