We had to open up windows to air the very strong bleach smell. The beds were uncomfortable, and the backyard was in rough shape. We wanted to sit outside, but all the furniture was dirty. Communication with host was prompt.

Hello Sharon thank you for sharing your concerns. We are always trying to improve to provide the best experience for our guests. We have notified our cleaners about the strong bleach smell and being more mindful about using their cleaning products. We have also contacted a landscape company to come in at the next opportunity we have and take care of the backyard for future guests. Our cleaners clean the outdoor furniture between each stay but unfortunately with the furniture being outdoors and surrounded by large trees the falling leaves may fall by the time guest arrive. However, we will note this and take better care of cleaning the outdoor furniture and keeping it well kept. Thank you again for your valuable feedback.
the host was very welcoming and accommodating during our stay.the house was spacious enough for the 7 of us, plus the dog. the backyard was just big enough for our dog to wander freely. My only complaint about our stay was the beds. They were not as firm as I'm used to. Also the couch is advertised as a queen size futon. It did not fold out.Parking is available but it was a bit on the awkward side with more than 1 vehicle. The streets are narrow with some neighbours parking on the street.

Hi Katharine, thank you for your review. I am glad you found the cottage spacious. There may have been some misunderstanding about the futon. It is not listed as a queen sized futon anywhere on our listing. Our listing says that there is a queen sized inflatable mattress available for guests to use in the closet. Thank you for your suggestions, we are continuing looking for feedback to improve our guests’ stay and experience.
