About this property
Peaceful camp in the woods near North East PA
A peaceful camp setting awaits you.. Close enough to a few towns with everything you could desire, yet secluded on a back road with no close neighbors! Your cabin has beds for 7, as well as multiple sitting, dining, and relaxing areas to accommodate the whole crew. Whether you're planning a couples trip, family getaway, or even a friends trip, you'll be sure to find wonderful lodging. Large yards, back patio, and front deck for you to enjoy. Privacy for your master bedroom, furnished with a king or two twin XL beds, and a guest bedroom with three bunk beds. Each end of the house has a bathroom, with the ends seperated by open kitchen and living room, which also has sleeping for two, and of course lots of cozy bedding, blankets, and pillows!
Two outdoor seating areas, where a bonfire, chairs, table and grill are set up for your favorite outdoor meals and activities. Play some yard games and grill some meats! The outside areas are very private, so no worries about being bothered by any noisy neighbors - besides the Barred Owls at night “whooo” are frequent welcomed guests. Just keep an eye on your pups so they don’t roll in anything.. We know how that goes far too well! If they do happen to get into trouble, the shower is dog friendly and dog towels are a plenty.
The mudroom is able to be closed off from the house if you'd like some more late night activities while others want to wind down. Have a few drinks at the bar and play a game of darts with your favorite music on. After visiting the plethora of local breweries, wineries, and distilleries, come back for a safe night in without having to drive home. Cheers!
Being in the woods, you are sure to find critters and bugs outside. They will inevitably find their way in from time to time. The home is as critter resistant as possible, with screens, spray, scents, holes blocked, etc. There is also repellant and outdoor candles for your use. Keeping food sealed as much as possible will also help out immensely. I also dabble in nuisance animal control, so if you wake up next to a raccoon, I'd be happy to escort it out. That hasn't happened yet by the way.

Our second time staying in two weeks. As usual it was a great stay! All the amenities of home, such as toilet paper, paper towels, and coffee. Thanks again for letting us stay!
Cory was most accommodating. It snowed the night of our arrival and he had both plowed out the driveway and shoveled a path to the door. The lights were on, the home was neat and orderly, and it was a perfect relaxing end to a long day of traveling. My three pups and I could not have asked for anything more. Cory's camp house is easy to get to from both I-90 and I-86. If you're looking for a peaceful alternative to a hotel room, especially if you have noise sensitive dogs, this is the place!

Thanks so much, Tom! We are so happy to be able to provide you and the pups with a relaxing stay- we welcome you back any time!
Such a gem in the perfect spot! Cory and Kellie were extremely responsive as soon as we booked a last minute trip to head up to the Peak for opening weekend. The house has absolutely everything you could need during your stay - for both you and your furry friend. It has dog dishes in case you forget yours, all utensils and cooking supplies, coffee makers, etc. They even left us a fun hot cocoa station!!! It’s in a great location and easy to access. The back hangout room was beyond ideal for snow sports lovers as it had a fireplace and places to hang your ski boots to dry while you watched TV or listened to music and played some darts. We already have our next stay booked. Thank you Cory and Kellie for sharing your cabin with us so that we could make memories as a family.

About the host
Hosted by Cory Clabbatz
I've lived in the area my whole life - this was my first house out this way, and I love letting other people enjoy the area and home as much as we do! I’ve owned it since 2012 and have also long term rented it up until fall of 25. I still enjoy using it as a get together location with friends or having family stay over.
Why they chose this property
Locally you will find a boatload of fun and activities. While we imagine most guests looking for lodging while on a hunting, fishing, skiing, or golfing getaway, there are also plenty of family oriented places just a short drive away.
We have state game lands for hunting or hiking within walking distance: 330 acres at your disposal, or drive up if you choose. 12 mile creek starts at the end of our property, so follow it down to the lake for some world class steelhead and trout fishing. You will also have plenty of room to park your walleye boat and clean fish. If you're more into small lakes, Eaton Reservoir is a great spot for some low key kayaking, fishing, or a nice walk as a 3 mile loop. It is also one of two local mountain bike trail systems within 10 minutes.
There are countless wineries within 15 minutes of camp, along with multiple breweries, and a few distilleries if you want some premium adult beverages. A handful of restaraunts and pubs also dot the local landscape, so venture out and find a new watering hole... I'll leave a list of our favorites.
For the family, you have Peek’n Peak resort for some skiing/snowboarding, tubing, spas, adventure park, or golfing. Add to that Splash Lagoon indoor waterpark, Waldameer and Waterworld, the Erie Zoo, or even just the Greenfield Park playground/fields; kids of all ages have plenty of options to enjoy through any season! We also have five golf courses within 15 minutes, and tons more if you want to venture a bit further.
If you're more content staying at camp with the critters, relax inside or out with games, reading material, a movie, or some classic arcade/console games. New road is a beautiful road to walk in all seasons, especially with the pups, and it's right outside the front door. You'll find plenty of cookware, and dinnerware for everyone in the group, as well as disposable if you're not a fan of doing the dishes. Theres nothing like a good camp breakfast and coffee.
What makes this property unique
The house and yard are very secluded, with no visible neighbors. It is large enough for a group trip, but also cozy enough for a couple’s getaway with your pups. Plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, and you can walk from the door to the state gamelands and back quite easily. Over 300 acres to explore!
