Our stay was overall fantastic thanks to the great company and the unbeatable location. The property is an easy 10 out of 10 for walkability just steps from coffee shops off San Marco and less than a five-minute walk to St. George Street.We did have a bit of a hiccup at check-in. We arrived around 2:45 p.m. hoping for early check-in based on a prior conversation with the owner, but hadn’t heard back. Check-in was at 4:00 p.m., and when we returned around 4:15, the the unit had not been cleaned. There were dirty towels, empty bottles, linens that clearly had not been changed, and even a pair of boxers left behind by the prevoius renter.We initially tried reaching the owner through the Vrbo app without success, but found a laminated welcome sheet with Michelle’s phone number and called her directly. She answered immediately and was incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuinely surprised, as our unit was on the housekeeping schedule. She quickly offered a solution by allowing us to use a vacant unit to get ready for dinner while housekeeping took care of ours.Housekeeping arrived while we were out to dinner, and when we returned, our unit was spotless. The housekeeper even left a small vase with flowers and an apology note, which was a very thoughtful touch.From that point on, everything was perfect. The location truly can’t be beat.
